"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity," forced conversion? sheesh. Back to the dark ages.

Unfortunately, if the damn 1st Amendment wasn't in the way, some of the Christian folk on FR would gladly try it, no doubt in an effort to trigger the "rapture" or some other poppycock.

You can't put those countries BACK to the Dark Ages - they never left.

In a related story, Alberta's Child expressed some disappointment and extreme envy about this turn of events.

"Damn it!" he said, "I've wanted to 'can' Ann Coulter for a long time!"

I have been a subscriber to National Review since 1956 (yup, I was 13), but I've had it with the current group of -- well, 'girly-boys'.

Ann, of course, is right. Invade, kill the leaders and convert them -- one could say, finish the Crusades and make the world a better place.

After 45 years, I'm done with NR.

Okay, she did not say forced conversion. She said, "convert them to Christianity" which is not the same thing as "forcing" them to do anything. That is just a Christian term and not offensive if you understand the meaning.

Great freepname btw.!

National Review went down the drain of Political Correctness quite awhile ago in my opinion. Firing Ann Coulter is their homage to the "diversity is our strength" crowd.

Ann Coulter doesn't need RINOs! They need her.

Coulter says her line about "convert them to Christianity" has been misconstrued and was aimed at those celebrating the attacks. "I wasn't talking about Muslims generally," she says. "I was talking about the crazed homicidal maniacs dancing in the streets."

Oh. So that's all right, then.

As an apologist for Christianity, Ann Coulter is less than convincing. She already has a pretty good schtick as The Sexy Blonde Republican; she should stick with it.

I am suggesting that NR has given us nearly 60 years of sound conservative thought and I think that they would deserve the benefit of the doubt in who they choose to use as contributing editors.

Didn't Trixie's boy call for conquering Africa a few months ago?

Yep. What a hypocrite.

I just got a big mailing from National review trying to get me to subscribe! They mention Ann Coulter as one of their great contributors! I am going to return the card refusing since they fired her!
If even the conservatives are going to go for a PC war, we are in trouble.
