US MAKING STRATEGIC MISTAKE, chairman of the Duma's international committee
novosti ^ | October 2, 2001 | Arina Dovgan

The United States is making a strategic mistake by announcing itself to be the only fighter against international terrorism. This opinion was expressed in an interview given to news agencies by deputy chairman of the State Duma's international committee Konstantin Kosachev.
It is also "illogical and unjustified," in the opinion of Kosachev, that the United States has granted proofs of the guilt of Osama bin Laden and of the al-Qaida organisation only to its allies - for instance to Great Britain. Russia is absent in the list of the countries to which the proofs of the guilt of the notorious terrorist will be given, added Konstantin Kosachev. This is, in the opinion of the deputy chairman of the international committee, "absolutely inadequate, because the USA has already stated about its cooperation with Russia in combating terrorism." However now, as Kosachev remarked, a tendency is taking shape that "while we shall cooperate and our secrete services will provide information, we shall receive in return only dosed information."

Dosed information ? The cards are all on the table :
during last week continuous disinformation about central asian republics opening the airspace to the US and about US military already in Afghanistan.

Iran will not allow US planes on their airspace.
Sept. 24 - The NATO agent ruling the Ucraine (Kuchma) opens the air space to the US. Russia can't accept this.
Sept. 30 - The NATO agent ruling Georgia (Shevardnadze) once again confirms Georgia's air space is open to the US. Russia can't accept this.
Understand what REALLY is on the make. ALL EXPLAINED HERE

During Indochina, Liberal Americans (left and right) blamed France, then America went into Vietnam. During Kossovo, we blamed Milosevitch, and now we are about to slaughter the whole muslim continent.... or wished so at least

Check again. NATO has invoked Article 5 of the charter which states that when any member state is attacked, all members will assist in the response.

Start seeing through the lies of the western mass media that fed you with stories about US military in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and SAS in Afghanistan running after Bin Laden.

TASHKENT, October 3, RIA Novosti correspondent Valery Niyazmatov - Uzbekistan denies the Washington Post's report about lifting American servicemen to the republic with the aim of building up a US military group in immediate proximity to the border with Afghanistan. On Wednesday RIA Novosti was told in the Defence Ministry of Uzbekistan: "We do not know anything about it." "We do not have any information on this score" - such was the answer of the Committee for Guarding the Country's Border. A stuff member of the information department of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan said a little bit more than others: We
DUSHANBE, OCTOBER 3, 2001 /FROM A RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT/ -- The Tajik authorities refute presence of US servicemen on the republic's territory. There are no US divisions on Tajik territory, Tajik Security Council Secretary Amerkul Azimov told RIA Novosti Wednesday. According to him, the media reports saying that US infantry divisions have landed in Tajikistan have nothing to do with reality. The Washington Post newspaper claimed in part that the US had dispatched some 1,000 servicemen to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in a bid to augment its troops stationed in the direct proximity to the Afghan borders. do not possess such information and advise you to contact directly the Pentagon.

I'll give you a little heads up on the future of Russia. In November, 2002 the U.S. will announce its support for Russia's eventual membership in NATO as well as formal inclusion in the G-8 (rather than the symbolic inclusion today).

Look, a lot of us around here (including myself) protested what Clinton did to Serbia and Bosnia under false pretenses. We didn't like it, we knew it was wrong, and we eventually got rid of Clinton and his henchmen such as Albright.

But we can't change the past.

You would be making a mistake to presume that President Bush would ever engage in Clintonian world politics, however. GWB is doing what he can to reach out to Russia and Serbia. In the near future you will see American troops pull out of Serbia, and you will see American support for Russian membership in NATO and the WTO. You will also see President Bush convince moderate Muslims to engage and defeat radical Islam as well as seeing American military forces engage and defeat terrorists worldwide.

We share the same enemies. What matters now is the future, not the past.

Mr. Putin, tear down those illegal dual use SAM / ABMs!

Which ones? How are they illegal? Pleae give specific data to reinforce your case.

Mr. Putin, tear down that illegal, secret, underground facility at Yamantau Mountain!

1. If the facility is "secret," how does a complete wanker like you know about it?

2. How is it illegal?

I think he's the greatest American President of the 20th Century, and possibly in all of American history.

I've met Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan is one of my heroes. You, sir, are no Ronald Reagan.

Now, what, exactly, is illegal about the facility at Yamantau Mountain?

And why are you unwilling to answer a fairly simple question?

The Russians have refused to allow inspections and are in abrogation of all SALT treaties. All of this is public record, in fact, it is a matter of Congressional record.

Please indicate the specific articles of specific treaties, and explain, in detail, how Yamantau Mountain is in violation of them.

We don't let Russia inspect various facilities in the "Federal Relocation Arc" (which have since become known, in the post-9/11 world, as "secure undisclosed locations"). Are we in violation of any treaties?

All of this is public record, in fact, it is a matter of Congressional record.

So's the Jesuit conspiracy to murder all of the Protestants and turn America into a Papist theocracy.

The following items, while certainly not irrefutable proof of treaty violations (specifically, secret, unaccounted nuclear weapon manufacturing, proscribed facilities, etc), strongly imply violation. Most importantly, the lack of transparency regarding the nature of the facility implies the hiding of violations:

(ref 1)

(ref 2)

(ref 3)

(ref 4)

(ref 5)

Seems to me, Bush could make an huge distinction between himself and Kerry the Red, based on things like this. It would also be a good start for him to fire all on his staff who are related to backstabbing traitors, Commies, peacenicks and other scum.

You've gone from definitive statements that Yamantau IS a treaty violation to weasel-worded suggestions. Color me unimpressed.

Second, Russian arms control inspectors do not have access to numerous facilities in this country. Are you seriously arguing that such restrictions "strongly imply violation" of these treaties by the United States?

Specifically, inspection access to Yamantau Mt was called for as a precondition to us giving money to the Russians. This was explicitly called out. Read the references, it's in there.

Specifically, inspection access to Yamantau Mt was called for as a precondition to us giving money to the Russians.

Actually, it wasn't--just a certification from Russia that they aren't modernizing their military beyond their "legitimate defensive needs."

But...how can little ol' you determine what Russia's "legitimate defensive needs" are?

Russia shares a long border with China, who happens to claim everything east of the Urals as their territory.

To the west, despite repeated pledges to NOT expand NATO, we did exactly that--right up to the old USSR border. (Hell, we originally promised that Germany would leave NATO as a precondition for reunification.)

And, speaking of Germany...they are what's known as a "shake-and-bake" nuclear power...and, according to folks I know and respect, some of the heavier-weight intelligentsia of Germany is flirting with various elements national socialist ideology in the name of creating a "uniquely German identity."

Also to the west, Russia looks at France--and sees a nuclear power going Muslim.

They look to the south--and the more thoughtful Russians are quietly wondering whether selling nuclear reactors to Iran was such a good idea, especially since the Iranians are also helping finance the war in Chechnya.

In the wee hours of the morning of June 22nd, 1941, several freight trains of raw materials crossed the frontier between the USSR and the Greater German Reich.

Less than an hour later, Operation Barbarossa began.

Trans-Eurasian Axes make fine examples of intellectual onanism, but they ignore the realities of geopolitics; enemies, in geopolitics, are the folks right next door to your country.

My money is firmly on the US having to bail Russia out of another world-class geopolitical f***up...sooner, as opposed to later.
