Would this negate the deal Starr made to end the investigation?

If they are his personally, I think the fifth amendment would apply.

No big deal. Clinton probably recorded all the important things from his term in office on these tapes, which mean they probably have less material than a 30-second television advertisement.

He is too smart to indict himself on tapes that he made himself.

I don't think he is a techno-wizard. He probably realized just the other day, that he could edit the tapes with a box cutter.

BTW, Did the secret service step in to protect Bill that time Hillary tried to "edit" Bill by aiming a lamp at his head? She isn't all that smart, is she? If she were, she would have known sexual desire is not ALL in the head.

I think the Clintons did their high-profile scandals ON PURPOSE - obviously to bring the country's morals down, but the real agenda was to distract us from the real news - his betraying us and weakening us from within militarily. Thank God for GWB.

Koch and Vallone endorse Ferrer because they know too much to endorse Green. What do they know about Mark Green that the rest of NYC has to learn?

Fearless prediction time: Come the general election, between Green and Bloomburg, Koch and Vallone endorse Bloomburg.

Dream on......Vallone's and Koch's endorsements are a desparate attempt to stay relevant in the NEW deomcratic MAJORITY in NYC..fact is, the Black and Hispanic blocks, with the support of some key unions ( teachers - who will sell their soul for the biggest pay raise....means that the white ethnics of the outer boroughs, and the Jewish voters, can't elect a candidate anymore........what's even scarier is that Ferrer, Sharpton, et al will totally screw up the city in the next four years...but they have a built in excuse for all that will occur..."if it wasn't for the terrorism".....Ferrer already wants to re-impose the commuter tax...well, hello!!..these folks that are relocating to CT and NJ..won't come back.....nope...it'll be a disaster......

Not true ... tapes, even if owned and produced personally, are not considered protected testimony unless they are made directly in relation to pending charges. They are considered similar to a diary which is wholly admissable as extemporaneous thought. However, there is always a questions of authenticity and relevance when considering tapes for admission. (Reference discussion regarding the Nixon tapes if you have further questions.)

To a Clinton, bad press is better than no press at all.
The worst thing anyone can do to a Clinton is ignore them.
They would perish.
It would be a life of hell on Earth.
The lack of a camera to them would be like a lack of food for everyone else.

Ironically, Clinton looks more like Nixon every day!

Not so. Nixon never had a shanker on his nose.

Yeh. It's a ploy to get someone, anyone, at least one person, curious enough to buy his book.
Heck, Hillary got paid $8 mill without even bothering to write one!
They knew it wouldn't sell anyway. It was a DNC/Clinton mega donation, laundered clean.

Ironically, Clinton looks more like Nixon every day!

Please.

Mr Nixon got into trouble for believing that Republicans in the office are allowed to behave as if they are "DemocRATS" -- and for going to bat out of misguided loyalty for some staffers who had been a little uninhibited in their efforts to get the dirt on the "DemocRATS" Washington DC call-girl operation.

And to draw comparisons between Mr Nixon and the RICO-racketeering, treasonous, psychopathological, predatory, lying, thieving, mass-murdering, serial-raping, gangster bastard son of a Hot-Springs whore-house john [And/or Tom and/or Dick and/or Harry] is to do Mr Nixon's memory a gross disservice!

quidam --
like DITHF, "quidam" is a FReeper screen name. Quidam was noted for his unique posting style -- one or two short, cryptic sentences, maybe a sentence fragment, and his posts were always signed twice. That is, not only did it appear automatically as it does on all replies, he also typed in his screen name to close each of his posts. Because of the nature of his posts and writing style, one could infer he was a knowledgeable, high-placed, anonymous Beltway insider. He spoke of such things as the dark and mysterious "men in suits" who would ultimately render a decision to Bill Clinton and remove him from office. Although ulimately discredited as an insider, his posts were among the most entertaining and memorable from the pre-impeachment era. He was a popular contributor and among the most well-known FReepers at the time. Unlike DITHF, Quidam occasionally still posts to FR, and he (or she?) is usually greeted with a wave of nostalgia. =) Quidam has been accused of being none other than Matt Drudge (just a rumor).
