IMHO, one of at least two things is going on here:
1) George Bush is preparing an unprecedented display of American firepower in the Middle East and needs a couple more weeks to optimize troop deployments and prepare for the next new moon. In the meantime, these attacks are being swept under the rug to keep Americans (and others around the world) from getting unduly impatient with him and our government; or
2) We're hiding our heads in the sand in classic Clintonian fashion and hoping all this just goes away.
I tend toward the former and pray to God that the latter isn't the case.

IMHO, one of at least two things is going on here: You left out the theird which is they might not be related to the terrorists.
It is hard now to not think something is related. And the series of events, especially the explosion in France which does seem to be terrorist related and today the plane from Israel to Russia.

If the goal of our enemies is to terrorize us through random acts of brutal violence, what better way to frustrate their efforts than to deny them credit? How does that square with our right to know? If in the current context we know these "coincidental happenings" are acts of terror disguised, but through this covering action (if it is real) the administration is stealing the enemy's thunder, who is harmed? Discussion.

Don't worry about the moon theory.My money is on when Rumsfield is in the clear and back home on the ground it is showtime. He will hit G.W. asap and tell him it is a go.They are going to fight in moonlight and they know that the U.S. is there anyway so this is all a wrap-up movement. I don't believe that plane being shot down was an accident. Yeah, I'm holding out for this one. Armenian airplane full of Israelis flying over the Black Sea with all this stuff going on. Supposedly a Ukranian SAM hits the plane. Why does this happen now? I'm just not so sure its an accident. There is motive to get the Russians and the Israelis mad at each other. This is a "coalition" which we all know are fragile and easily dissolved.

In a full moon it is very easy to see people traipsing/crawling across the landscape....no so when there is no full moon. Also we have EXCELLENT night vision technology, don't we, that allows us to see on dark nights what many other cannot see.....just thoughts and those I've heard from others, also, i.e. Tony Snow, my hubbie

That, even if it's true and not simply a factoid or talking point, it's tangential to the possibility of contracting pulmonary anthrax (18 cases last century, last reported case 25 years ago).

Have you seen pics of Afghanistan? No brush or foliage to hide behind or mask movement. On a night with moonlight, any of our guys on the ground would stick out like a wart on a nose.

Bloomberg news indicates this inhaled anthrax is the rarest and most fatal. Most difficult to catch because it requires exposure to hundreds of spores. Officials say he must have been unlucky and was doing outdoor activities in North Carolina when he probably caught the virus. Latest case this year early was in Texas, the case before that was in Florida in 1974!!! The guy is in critical condition, probably dying from advanced stage of the disease. Are we going to learn first hand what happened if this guy dies?
This is kind of weird.
