What a price Spain paid for having saved Europe from Islam, and without as much as a thank you. I would like to take this occasion to formally thank Spain for saving Europe from the despicable Islam. Let us pray that W (meaning Rice and Rumsfeld) has a broad enough view of history to repeat Spain'svictory. And as long as we are on the subject, I would like to thank Sobieski and I promise never to tell another Polish joke again.

... and if this present war succeeds, we may have Ivan to thank

One rarely hears about the 1.5 million Christians the Mohammedans massacred in Armenia and Persia starting in 1915.

Nah, W's too busy running from mosque to mosque making sure his shoes aren't on.

Nah, W's too busy running from mosque to mosque making sure his shoes aren't on. Now, you see, you have got me worried again. I truly (and seriously) worry because Bush Sr spent his time taking his shoes off while Pauline was screaming inside the mosque. It is possible to infer that Jr is doing the same thing.

I don't follow...
To: GuillermoX
Bush Sr. was too worried about what people thought about him. He was absorbed by the soothing balm of protocol. He didnt realize that sometimes you have to kick the dog. Whether his son is the same way is a prospect hovering over this war ... it first appeared not to be, but as each day passes it looks that way

I saw the same program. Did you catch the woman who said she is not required to wear the scarf according to her religion, but that she wears it to "stand out." Also, she has a special room where she can go to pray at work (she is required to pray five times a day, she said, according to Islamic teachings.) I wondered what would happen if a Christian asked for a special room and time off to pray at work....

"Muslim scholars are understandably hesitant to speak out on this subject because they could be assassinated." That was written three years ago. I'm sure things are a bit different now. For the worse.
People are still steeling themselves against thinking the unthinkable, but when the unthinkable rears its ugly head and refuses to go away, mass denial will wither away.
Something very ugly will occur in this country vis-a-vis the millions of muslims residing within our borders.
The only question is whether it will be ugly for them, or for the country. And the jury is still out.

Additionally, I'd like to thank Ferdinand and Isabella (especially this Columbus Day weekend). They had the right idea.

Maybe everybody should start asking and this might happen. I understand at times you don't want your religion to be what defines you, or you don't want to discuss religion at work, but that doesn't mean we should bury it. There are several rooms in one of the buildings where I work at that are 'private', i.e. employees only, no management, and people hold Bible studies and discussions a few times a week (they are also used by the Jewish, Islamic, and Buddhist workers among others). They were never meant to be used that way, more like break/stress relief rooms, but they just kinda turned out that way, and we are all happy and so management doesn't care. I guess I'm luckier than some.
Anyway, everybody should ask for a private room (I don't mean every single person mind you, but just private areas away from the busy areas and away from management).
