Very clever article!Thank`s for posting it!

But,I would like to add a couple of things,if you don`t mind.

First of all, what makes this war different is that all the relevant powers(USA,Russia,China,UK,France...) are united against Taliban and Bin laden! They don`t fight their wars by proxy!Meaning ,that Taliban will be ,very soon, without military hardware,amunition,fuel...This time,Afgani "freedom fighters" will not have Zbignew Brezinski to poure a bilion $$ in Chinese,Korean, and Bulgarian weapons and Stingers to fight Russia!

And,more importantly,Russians, after making lots of mistakes in the begining, found a very efective way to fight Mujahedins, and inflicted a serious losses on their forces!

War against Taliban is winnable, and Osama`s days are, probably, numbered! But,then, what???Apease Pakistan and leave Taliban in power???Continue US presence in Saudi Arabia(more bombs and terrorism)???Today I`ve heard Tony Blair saying that West will bomb Afganistan for two years???Why?Roots of WTC tragedy are not in Kabul but somewhere else!
