Time Inc. spokesman Peter Costiglio said the move had nothing to do with the anthrax cases . . .

Ever notice how brazen professional liars tend to become? After practising their craft for years, they seem to believe that the whole world is populated with fools who will believe anything they say. This had everything to do with anthrax.

Of course, a few more months of B.S. like this, and working in the "mail-room" will become quite a high paying job.

Like all formerly difficult yet relatively high paying jobs, they will be farmed out to firms that hire illegals. The outsourcing firm itself will be run by a CEO and executives pulling out tons of cash, while decrying the lack of workers available for $6, no benefits and you pay for your own parking.

I have noticed that among todays executives and managers is a certain shark-like tendency and viciousness as well as an ability to lie to an almost criminal extent. Didnt that Emotional IQ guy tell us that good leaders are good liars and that success in the economy was related to ones ability to be cunning and to deceive?

The forthright, middle class, decent American managers of 20- 30 years ago are gone. They have all been replaced by this cunning and mean breed.

Such heroes! (sneer) At a time when people are suffering enough, corporate America has to add to it. Lot's of other companys laying off too-and they shouldn't have any correlation with the tragic events! ie: Bell South. Why? These are the same corporations that will complain at some future date abt how hard it is to find good workers and how there is no more loyalty anymore.
