Here's what we're fighting for (post pictures)Thread II for more...
Let us die to make men free...
That is what you can never get a pacifist to understand.
While they do not accept Jesus as their Savior, I am sure even the majority of Israelis consider Jesus was a Jew. And isn't the life of just one Jew worth fighting for?
Even this twit thinks so.
Gadzooks, you people are touchy. I used the painting and the lines from The Battle Hymn of the Republic to show our commitment to defeat terrorism.
jlogajan jumps me because it is not Jewish enough for Israel, then balls balls me out for being a religious nut.
I guess Freedom of Speech is only okay if jlogajan and balls find it fits their version of PC.
Though you may get flamed for being a feminist.
Why do you feel compelled to take one of the all time great threads and sully it with your inanities? Let me guess: UC Jerkley, Stanford or any of the Ivy League.
I believe in a God, however I am not a member of any organized or unorganized religion. It was not my intent to preach "religion" in any form, rather to touch on a verse of an old song that bring tears to my eyes every time I hear it and to the correct version needed to be realized now more than ever.
More Americans are going to die. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coasties and Civilians. The sooner we accept this, the easier the task will be to bear.
I wish I wasn't a cripple old man, so I could go take some revenge. I hope and pray this nation is strong enough for this. This is going to be a long, costly war. This is not going to be the Gulf War, it is going to be fighting & dying a long distance from nowhere. I fear even with us looking at 6,000 plus dead already, the public will get tired when military body bags start coming back and the East Coast Media adds it's 2 cents. I hope the men and women who come back in those bags are not cast aside and forgotten like our Korean War & Vietnam KIAs were when they came back.
I'll get off my soapbox. Pray for those who have died, been injured and are survivors of the terrible events of the past 39 days.
God Speed to our Brothers and Sisters in Harms Way.
"A willowy blonde who owns a liquor store," I hear you say.
Well, that is the difference between a young Marine and an old jarhead. He doesn't need the buzz.
But she'll do!
