Its great to see all those NYPD/NYFD folks down from and clapping hands to David Bowie (opening act).

David Bowie great opening act, huge difference from that morbid production by the Hollywood elite... which I turned off about 10 minutes into the show.

Yuck, after a great opening by Bowie, VH-1 had to show Hillary and Bill. Please if you want donations, don't show their mugs.

Billy Crystal: "I've been to a lot of concerts backstage, and I've never seen everybody run away from WHITE POWDER!"

Great opening act by Bowie.

Please if you want donations, don't show their mugs.

Anyone who donates at this point has a screw loose anyway, IMHO. With barely 5% of the more than ONE BILLION DOLLARS already collected having actually been distributed to any affected families, and most of that having been given out only after extreme pressure was applied publicly by the likes of Bill O'Reilly, it's going to be a loooooong time before I give any "charitable" organization a penny.

If you really want to make a difference, get online, find the name of someone that was killed, and cut a check directly to his/her family. Even better, go out of your way to make sure that your money goes to one of the "less-worthy-of-recognition" families, such as those whose family members were working in WTC restaurants for $9/hr, while support five or six kids at home, that have gotten almost zero media attention. The already-ultrawealthy Cantor Fitzgeraldites have gotten almost 100% of the press coverage thus far, and they're the least needy of all.

Daschole looking cheeky.

This is obviously a party by the elites for the elites. They should be ashamed to have even considered allowing anyone in the audience at all who wasn't a hero or a victim, but not only are they not ashamed, all the good seats have gone to the dueless liberals.

To hell with them. I've already turned it off.

well, i was going to keep it on, because billy joel is a friend and what he said on msnbc last night was typically awesome. but watching billy crystal give puff a monica, and watching puff turn into gore liter, it's back to fox. too bad the cops and firefighters are being turned into hostages of the hollyweird/music industry left.

Bowie was good there in the opening 'America' song....a little nervous, voice cracking... then breaking into 'Heroes'. Nice to know the old guard can still rev it up!

Bon Jovi now.

Unfortunately, we'll probably have to put up with a lot of bad jokes, maybe some good ones. I would like/hope they will recognize our military very soon. Dacshel say's "we will win this war", but not without our heroes in blue, green and tan out front.

Does anyone know the original singer of that "Look for America"? I am thinking early 70s....the show is incredible....a good night for New York's Bravest and Finest...despite the "enemies of our great nation" in the audience...named the Bubba and his wicked Bride!

The concert is organized by the Robin Hood Fund. check out their site here.

The Robin Hood Fund is known for having 100% of the donations go to the stated cause. The fund itself underwrites the expenses, therefore, every dollar you donate will go the cause, not the expenses of putting on the concert.

The Robin Hood Fund has a long track record of good works.

Bubba and Hitlery...Look happy as clams. Hitlery could bearly make herself clap during President Bush's speech. I saw her on VH1 smiling and clapping. Shows where her interests really are. NOT in Congress, BUT at a music concert. They make me want to be sick. New Yorkers who voted for should be ashamed to have such a wicked women as their senator. Tisk, tisk. The acts so far have been pretty good. Not fond of all the rap crap.
