Im paraphrasing what the Congressment is saying:
"We as a country cannot fear an open discussion {on the use of nuclear weapons)".
We have been attacked by Biological weapons, and as per our 50 year plan, need to fulfill our promise to deter such attacks by using small, tactical nuclear weapons on terrorists strongholds.
If we do not retaliate with weapons of mass destruction as they have used on us, future terrorist attacks with WMD may not be detered and the consequences may be more than we are willing to bear.

The only way nukes will ever be used is if a bunch of liberals die. Once this crap truly hits home all eyes will be opened.
This is preparing America to wake up some morning and read that Iraq or Syria or Cuba does not exist anymore! As more innocent Americans die from Anthrax or are stricken by by Anhtrax, more Americans will say good riddance if nuclear weapons are used to destroy these people!
Now I have a question for those reading this thread:
What if the people mailing these Anthrax strains are identified as members of Elf, Earth First and other green envirals who hate Americans? What will you response be?
What would your response be if it is documented that the Opecker nations have been contributing to main line enviral organizations since 1973? The goal of these contributions was to have the envirals make us hate oil, oil companies and to limit exploration for new oil in the lower 48 and Alaska! Just two weeks ago, Dasshole, who has received campaign money and votes from envirals kept the bill for drilling in ANWR from going to a full vote in the Senate!

I DISAGREE. We should use Big nuclear weapons ...
OBL is not the target now. We are treating his thugs and their war toys the same as we treated the mass Raping Japanese soldiers on the various islands during WWII! Did any of the Japanese soldiers killed or maimed on those islands ever kill or rape an innocent after we got through with them. Has Japan been a threat since then to us in a military way?
OBL thugs have been given a chance to surrender. They chosen death or terrible maiming. When, we have basically destroyed all of his weapons, his men, and his support groups. We will find the cave/caves and seal them up for about 20 centuries!
First we kill or maim all of his camel thumping terrorist thugs and their war toys! Then we deal with OBL and his lieutenants!

A soundbite I heard on the radio this morning from an unnamed politician on the subject of liberties and security:

Those words brought the current conundrum into sharp focus for me. The Founding Fathers may have feared, but not intended, that our Freedoms would be used against us as a defensive weapon by our enemies. Your screen namesake was the first president to face this issue head on in a fight for America's very survival. Well, here we go again!
