I tried pulling this on my kids this morning. "Oh! Let's listen to this Internet broadcast from another state..." My 11 year old is saying, "It's a Halloween hoax. They did something like this way back in 1993." I said, "I was alive in 1993. Nothing like this happened." He swears he wasn't getting worried, but began to ask, "Is this live?" Especially after I showed him another link on Freeepublic. After all, if it's on Freerepublic it must be news. Right? My daughter's eyes were big. The dog was burying his head in the laundry pile.... The only one who really didn't seem bothered in any way was my 5 year old.
