Top Panther agrees to pay child support

Quanell X, national information minister of the New Black Panther Party, on Tuesday reached an agreement with his former girlfriend to pay her $5,600 in back child support.

Quanell X's lawyers and a lawyer for his former girlfriend, Rashaun Porter, hammered out the agreement in a courthouse hallway shortly before they were to appear before state District Judge Don Ritter.

The black activist owed nearly $10,000 in back support before he began making payments May 1, said Samuel Childs Sr., Porter's lawyer.

Quanell X said he had made the child support payments, but did not follow a court order and pay them to the child support registry. Instead, some of his payments, he said, have gone for tuition and other matters for his 8-year-old son, Quinten Evans.

"I was not really behind," Quanell X said.

On another thread today a person that lives near a mosque noted that when the Islamic service is over the Muslims frequently seem to be in an "angry" mood. Quanell X is from Houston and he is alive (hopefully not well), it's my understanding that it was Quanell on CSPAN representing the New Black Panther's with thier support for Bin Laden. I didn't see it, just heard about it.

Have to say Coombs was wonderful tonight. He did not give an inch to that guy. Hannity also was great - kept at him to admit he hates America and to admit that he was not for Bush - so therefore supports Bin Laden.

Bush was the cause of all the trouble because of the US policies of all presidents. We should look at the cause of the bombing - the USA/Israel actions against the Palestinians.
