I wondered about that, as I went to Borders when the book first was released. They told me at first they didn't have it. I said I had been told it was out and they did have it. The employee then told me "well, we do have them, but they are in the back in the boxes, we haven't got around to putting them out."
After telling me they would be out in a couple of days, I returned, only to be told they were "sold out." I called Barnes and Nobles, they were sold out, B Dalton, same story.
I finally ordered it from Amazon and haven't received it yet. I wondered if this was by design, or if they are so popular they are indeed sold out that quickly. I hope the latter is true.
Barbara's voice is not silenced, it still speaks from the pages of her books. I do wonder if the hateful person who told her she shouldn't live long on CSPAN felt any remorse for that statement, or if she cheered along with the terrorists.
When I went to "Borders" in the Arrowhead Mall vicinity here in Phx. they told me that they had ordered 20 copies and I had them put me on the list and they mailed me a card saying they were in. Picked it up last week.
They also said they have 9 copies of my book left! :)
