ISLAMABAD: In a significant move, Pakistan government has directed the Taliban ambassador here, Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, to 'limit' his activities and 'barred' him from holding daily media briefings highlighting Taliban propaganda against US military operations in Afghanistan.

Zaeef who turned out to be big draw for the international media present in Pakistan to cover the war in Afghanistan has been told to limit his activities according to 'diplomatic norms', said a report in the website of the Pakistan daily The News.

While there was no official reaction to the report, the Taliban official was reported to have been told about Pakistan's 'directive', when he called on Pakistan foreign officials at the foreign office on Tuesday. ( PTI )

Haha, about time! Zaeef is abviously underqualified to speak for a 'government'. As long as the media and Pakistan allowed him and his assistant to hold press meetings like they have, it only legitimizes the taliban.. The whole point of targeting the taliban is because the coalition sees them as a forign influence, and not a true Afghan government. Finally!

Pakistani government to Taliban:
SHUT T** **** UP!
Priceless. These idiots only have Al Jazeera TV now to air their crap. Maybe if Al played ball, they'd be cut off completely. :)

Well, FINALLY the Paks decided to shut him up. One question - if Pakistan no longer has diplomatic relations with Afghanistan, what is this joker doing in Pakistan still?

CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, should all be put on notice! The daily propaganda briefings must cease. Show me the victims of Taliban aggression. Show me the devastation of Al Queda terror in the past. Show me Israeli civilians destroyed by terror. I don't want "America fights back", I want "An Enemy Has Done This".
