There were actually some idiots who opposed the death penalty for Clark.

Fitz, I would venture to guess, these are the same scum bags who are pro Bin Laden. Suppose?

And people in Europe whine when executions occur in the US... never mind the fact that individual lives are not above freedom and justice. However subverting justice with "humane" arguments has become a common staple in a rotten world of people who have been so much shielded by evil that forgot what it is all about. REPEAT: Thou shall remove evil from your midst

Clark believed 15 minutes was how long it would take him to reach heaven.

Oh, I think the express elevator down is much quicker than that.

The 'rats are morons. Death is a completely reasonable earthly penalty for some crimes even if the perpetrators repent. Let us pray that they take the opportunity to do so. Eternal judgement is God's alone.

The Onion had a great story about a convicted child murderer who had repented, and who was looking forward to meeting his victims in Heaven. The article referred to the child who was looking forward to meeting his killer in Heaven, next to a picture showing a rather glum kid.

Any Heaven that admits homocidal pedophiles is a Heaven that is a mite too forgiving, IMHO.

I just looked at your picture on your profile page. If the rest of your family looks like you, that pervert had an easy out indeed. God Bless the restraint each of you were able to pull out. I don't know how you did it.

I hope that your little niece is now able to smile again and that she will be able to go on to a happy and productive life.

It took Tennessee 33 yrs to get the prep that raped and murdered Cary Ann Medlin 8. We had to oust a anti-death penalty State Supreme Court judge...Penny White..try to oust her partner in crime Adolpho Birch..he cried racisim. My Jeremy's killer plea bargained for 20 years. We have fought 5 parole hearings. Keeping him in 13.6 yrs of that 20. Beating the odds of 5.6 yrs. But we have now run out of options. They release him Nov 2002 with 6 months of supervised parole. He will be free to kill again. Given his age 29 at release and 5th grade education, there are more victims are in his future.

Hey from way out here in Guam. I left Las Cruces 2 years ago. Lived there for 9 years befor that. Im origonally from Roswell. Im afraid that the northern half of the state is gone liberal (if not homosexual). I like the stretch from Cruces to Roswell. God's country for sure.
I got some of this out of the article you linked.

"I truly think God wanted Terry to live a bit longer. Only one being has the right to take a life, and that is God," said Fleming. "Other people made God's decision. We will never know what possible good Terry could have done as a saved Christian in prison."

The real tragedy here is that Dena Lynn Gore didnt have a chance to show the world what she could have done. Terry Clark made God's decision to kill her right after he raped her.

"As taxpayers, we are also responsible for this murder by our elected officials. And we are also part of those who can make changes, because laws can be reversed."

The responsible act was done on 7 Oct 01. Terry Clark was released, on bail, on appeal of his guilty conviction of kidnapping and raping Donita Welch when she was 6 years old. Befor his appeal could be heard he was arrested for raping and killing Dena Lynn Gore. This turned into the biggest "I TOLD YOU SO" in New Mexico history. That judge is no longer employed by the state and with the Governors blessing, execution is practiced once again in the "Land of Enchantment".
