Well, I feel tall. I teach second grade, and I've only had 4 students in my career who could look me in the eye.

Thank you!

(There's not a Mac version, but if you know Mac users like I do - they'll claim it's impossible to make a spelling error on a Mac or sumpin'.)Not this Mac person..that makes frequent error..and just keeps going..perhaps they will come out with a Mac version

If I may translate:
For those o' ya who iz not as fortunate as myself ta be blessed wiff uh classical education, I present ta ya Spell Checker fo' Edit Boxes.
I feel dat some folks wiff uh great deal o' insight/wisdom iz reluctant ta post cuz dey may possess uh "less than stellar" spelling talent.
Just as tall peeps (such as myself) iz unfairly viewed positively by society, so iz peeps who don' spell every werd correctly.
Proper spelling iz ta intelligence as typing 100 WPM iz ta playing uh Chopin etude - very little correlation.
(There'snot uh Mac version, but if ya know Mac users like I do - they'll claim it'simpossible ta make uh spelling error on uh Mac or sumpin'.)
just like mammy.

Good Job.
Now, can you point us in the direction of an Intelligent Content Checker? With every word properly spelled, every bit of punctuation properly placed and paragraphs properly formatted, 90% of the stuff on FR is STILL pure DRECK.
You can start by having it automatically reject Vanities if the Flesch-Kincaid Readability Level is at Eighth Grade or below.

I downloaded this a year or two ago at Pardek's suggestion and never could get it to work. Maybe I shouldn't admit that, considering the circumstances.
To: Egg
You can do that, but this piece of software is tailor-made for FR. You don't need to open any bloatware like Word (it lurks in the backround at all times), and it will check with a couple of keystrokes (which the user assigns) right in the FR reply box.
To: Senator Pardek
I feel that some folks with a great deal of insight/wisdom are reluctant to post Oh man, you pegged me!
But seriously, this looks like a cool tool, something I have wanted many times before. May give it a try.

I agree with you on the (partial) lack of correlation between spelling and intellegence and/or knowlwdge. What offends me is that blatant and repeated spelling errors show a lack of respect for the reader. I hope I didn't mis-spell anything here! : )

Nice find. I will endeavor to give it a try.
One could always use dictionary.com for the tuff ones.
