For those of you who are not as fortunate as myself to be blessed with a classical education, I present to you Spell Checker for Edit Boxes.
I feel that some folks with a great deal of insight/wisdom are reluctant to post because they may possess a "less than stellar" spelling talent.
Just as tall people (such as myself) are unfairly viewed positively by society, so are people who don't spell every word correctly.
Proper spelling is to intelligence as typing 100 WPM is to playing a Chopin etude - very little correlation.
(There's not a Mac version, but if you know Mac users like I do - they'll claim it's impossible to make a spelling error on a Mac or sumpin'.)

Smart people automatically spell everything correctly. And they type well because their brains connect with every other cognitive and sensory perception. They have fully internalized language at a very very young age and often do not remember actually having to learn to read and write. It's not a matter of much thought for them, us, the classically educated dwelling on the short end of the curve. The reality is that some things just cannot be learned. Use the device but realize that it does put you in the intellectually disadvantaged realm. That's just the way it is. We tolerate your spelling mistakes because we actually do not notice them, having already processed and corrected the error for you. We also do this in conversation, and though it does get a bit annoying, finishing your sentences for you, what else can we do if you forget the English word for house or car or sandwich and resort to the vernacular use of the phrase, "youknowthatthing?"? It's the errors of logic and thought processes which tempt one to throw laptop out of window(but not quite). Ginko Biloba, alright? Deutsche Blumen leiben sie auch!

You can start by having it automatically reject Vanities if the Flesch-Kincaid Readability Level is at Eighth Grade or below. Or, for that matter, if the poster fails the Voight-Kampff test.
