Vanity/Humor - Songs I'd Like To Dedicate To Osama Bin Laden
Self ^ | 11/15/2001 | USConservative

Posted on 11/16/2001 1:16:28 PM PST by usconservative

The End is coming for Bin Laden, and since I DJ on occasion, I'm trying to compile a list of songs I'd like to dedicate to Bin Laden. Here's what I have so far, since Freepers are the most creaitive people in the world, add to the list!

#1 - Nowhere To Run - Martha & The Vandella's
#2 - You Better Run - Pat Benatar
#3 - Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye (When the Taliban turn him over...)

I had at least two more that I can't remember now, but I'm sure someone will post 'em!

The war is turning, let's have some fun with this.

BAD MOON RISING

(J.C. Fogerty)

I see the bad moon arising.

I see trouble on the way.

I see earthquakes and lightnin'.

I see bad times today.

CHORUS:

Don't go around tonight,

Well, it's bound to take your life,

There's a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.

I know the end is coming soon.

I fear rivers over flowing.

I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

CHORUS

All right!

Hope you got your things together.

Hope you are quite prepared to die.

Looks like we're in for nasty weather.

One eye is taken for an eye.

CHORUS

CHORUS

If they hole up in the caves for a while, there's always "Timothy".

One of my favorite one hit wonders. The only song about canibalism to reach the top 40.

But, do you remember the name of the band?

They were a local Wilkes-Barre, PA band back in the early 70s.

The Buoys

Speaking of one hit wonders....the taliban is the king of one hit wonders. One hit from our B-52s and everyone wonders where they ran off to ; )

And the epilogue from The Guess Who's Hang On To Your Life

They gaped upon me with their mouths
As a ravening and a roaring lion
I am poured out like water
And all my bones are out of joint
My heart is like wax
It is melted in the midst of my bowels
My strength is dried up like a potsherd
And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws
And thou has brought me into the dust of death
