Great post. Let's rejoice at the liberation of Kabul, and gloat at humiliated pests like Chomsky.

Tali
ban on the Run!
Well, The bombs Exploded With A Mighty Crash As they Fell Into The Sun,
And The First One Said To The Second One There I Hope You're Having Fun.
Ban On The Run, Ban On The Run.
And The B1 Man And Sailor Sam Were Searching every one
For the ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run
Well, The Undertaker Drew A Heavy Sigh when he seen 'em stacked 10 ft high,
And A Bell Was Ringing In The Village Square for the zealots anxious to die.
Ban On The Run, Ban On The Run.
And The B1 Man And Sailor Sam, were searching every one
For the ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run
Well, The Night Was Falling As The Desert World began To Settle Down.
In The Town we're Searching For 'em Every Where, but they're really lost n down.
Ban on the run, Ban on the run
And The Northern boys, who made some noise
Will search for evermore
For the ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run, Ban on the run

History, after all, taught us that Afghanistan swallowed empires. History warned against quagmires. Well, history has just met the Daisy Cutter, and now perhaps the citizens of Afghanistan are liberated from more than the Taliban. LOL! Great line about the Daisy Cutter. This guy is right on target.

Better that evil triumph, as long as flawed men don't act.I have never seen a better summation of the views of liberals in general and pacifists in particular.
