We then departed from our initial linkup location and rode into Mazar-e Sharif on begged, borrowed and confiscated transportation. Hmmm...

The PK is misidentified as a sniper weapon in this article. It's actually a light machinegun.

I think a pk is an old russian sniper rifle.

I'm looking for the opportunity to go and borrow it back from whoever in the world has it now.

Or I'm wrong.

This was said a while ago, better than I could put it,
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win great triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat." --Theodore Roosevelt
To: Poohbah
A PK *must* be a light machine gun. A "sniper" wouldn't need 100 rounds when the infantry was getting 10 per man.

The old Russian sniper rifle is the M1891 Moisin-Nagant; the current issue sniper piece is the Dragunov SVD.

TacAir is great, but it takes a Ball-Bearing Gravel Agitator to get the job done.

"Truly uncommon valor has been a common virtue amongst these men." Deserves to be posted again.

PK is a 7.62x39 belt fed LMG. Same action as an AK (except for the feed mechanism), and the gas tube is on the bottom.
