For that very reason I can not respect a thing that Paul or any pro-abort says or does.

How, then, can you possibly respect the GOP and their main hacks and advisors such as Kissinger?

I'm not kidding, VA Advogado ... ABORTION IS A GOP POLICY

"Abortion is Vital to the Solution" ... a Key Point from Kissinger's NSSM-200

The time will come soon enough that you realize they played you for fools.

This bill would, in accordance with Article 3, Section 2 of our United States Constitution,

I like the way he starts out with the part of the Constitution that allows for the legislation.

well, at least my friend Askel5 realizes why Dr Paul did this: he was restrained by his charter, AKA the Constitution.

Just as murder is not under the federal domain, murder of the unborn should not come under the federal charter...

The best we can do, constitutionally, at the fed level, is give the unborn the rights and immunities as other citizens, along with overturning roe v. wade

The only reason you single out Dr. Paul is his libertarian leanings, while you turn a blind eye to the gop whose members vote consistently to publicly fund these abobinations.

Askel: hows it hanging there honey?

I send sincere wishes that you and yours are all healthy and happy, and will remain so throughout the coming new year...

Could you hear me stamping my feet and whistling like a boy as I read Paul's speech on exchanging freedom for security?

I'm grateful to you all for turning me on to him.

It's going to be a quiet Christmas (staying here to sing instead of going home this year) but I expect to have plenty for which to be thankful this year.

All the best to you and yours, fod. I'll bet it looks like a REAL Christmas card up there! I've got a handful of ornaments from my childhood on a forlorn little tree I'll "set free" across the lake after Twelfth Night ... a very Charlie Brown sort of tree. =)

Well, does it does not look like a Christmas card yet, (no snow!), and our Christmas won't be white, for we are heading far, far south...

Be nice to those trees now, you never know what rewards and wonders live under thier exterior.

Take good care,

and warmest regards,

I don't allow drugs of any kind in my home or on my property. And that includes alcohol and tobaco. But notice I said " in my home or on my property. You can decide for yourself about your home and your property.

I hear you, my friend. I find a lot of power in the quote as for me and my house, we'll serve the Lord. However, Curry and his ilk seem to want to edit the Bible itself to read As for you and your house, you'll serve the Lord, or else. It embarasses me to see such people called Christian.

Askel, come on. That directive was issue in 1974. Very few things (thank God) remain of the GOP from 1974.

Very few things (thank God) remain of the GOP from 1974.

Did you miss somehow Bush's decision on ESCR?

You failed to notice the GOP Senate ratified Roe v. Wade (on the day McKeating was suitably absent).

You forgot, I guess, that our GOP Senators split their consciences in two and ratified the Schumer Amendment 80-17 lest Gore get "good press" for breaking what they told us was going to be a tie?

Perhaps you just didn't care that they okayed the NIH's embryonic stem cell guidelines and upped the ante of Title X monies FOR abortion lest any balking on their part cause Clinton to "shut down Government" again.

They're Quislings, VA Advogado.

They waste your time by getting you to write letters and support the bunkum known as "Parental Consent" legislation.

George Bush got all kinds of good press for passing SB-130 in Texas. What did that accomplish? ZILCH. It capped protections on offending abortionists, increased privacy protections for all involved in the minor's abortion and resulted in a string of COURT-ORDERED minor abortions sans parental knowledge, much less consent.

They're making fools out of you.

The byword of the GOP is "I'm personally opposed, BUT ..." There are just over a dozen GOP representatives who actually vote the pro-life convictions on which they campaign and for which we elect them. The rest understand that the whole pro-life image of the GOP is just much ado about nothing but population control, plain and simple.

And the Bush family has been front and center since Prescott's time. It was George I who "removed the sensationalism" of population control by insisting in the late 60s and early 70s that it be recognized as a "healthcare mechanism".

NSSM-200 was penned and signed (for Nixon) by Kissinger in 1974. It was signed as NSDM-314 by Scowcroft for Ford. It was declassified during the Bush Administration.

I don't see that this 1994 Directive departs significantly from the 1974 version.

Face it ... they're playing you for a fool.

In that they get all the accolades for being "pro-life" while simultaneously using that pro-life position as the be-all and end-all excuse for PERPETUALLY BEING BESTED BY THE LIKES OF CLINTON & CO ... they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Will all this still matter if Bush appoints two REAL pro-life justices that will over turn Roe?
