Why are the stars on the Republican elephant upside down?
|
 |
|
 |
As part of a graphics job I was redrawing the Republican Elephant in postscipt so I could use it in a high resolution design job that I was doing. I noticed that the stars are upside down. When I looked at the Democrat version of this logo I found that the stars are pointed up. I did a little research and found the use of the five pointed star upside down has satanic uses. I have searched and searched but I can't find out who designed the Republican logo. I have a feeling some neo-pagan, democratic designed this logo and is laughing everytime he sees this logo on a Republican advertisement. I may be wrong but I think the Republicans have been had again. |

They're not upside down, they're just leaning on one foot.

VRWC blanket party time.

What is that? Is Satan supposed to be a goat?! Seems like the master of evil could do better than a goat represented by an upside-down star.

"I did a little research" - Jimbaugh
A little research would be the correct term if you count what many believe. Even "No Research" would have been correct as many people only superficially scratch the surface and call it research.
The pentagram and pentacle , considered by many Christians as signs of 'the devil', also have a benign history. One of the earliest use of the pentagram was as a symbol of the goddess Kore, also known as Ceres. The Greek Pythagoreans considered its geometric symmetry to be a sign of perfection. Hebrews viewed the sign as a symbol of the five books of the Pentateuch, and viewed it as a symbol of Truth. Even the early Christians viewed it as a holy symbol, equating the five points of the star with the five wounds suffered by Christ on the cross.
The pentagram began to get a bad reputation during the Middle Ages. Christians, in the heat of the Inquisition, began to equate the pentagram with the sign of ancient gods, now viewed as representations of the devil. For the first time in history, the benign symbol of security was viewed as a symbol of evil. In the 19th century, Eliphas Levi, a magician and magical philosopher, used an inverted pentacle to signify the god Baphomet, a goat-headed god of Evil. The ensuing symbol, known as the sign of Baphomet, has been adopted to signify the Church of Satan and other Left Hand Path religions.
My guess is that is just they way they were put on the Repub symbol, with no other meaning intended. I have spent a major portion of my adult life in the study of religious symbology, but, as with any statement made by anyone, your milage may vary and contents may settle during shipment.

Dr. C

Maybe the same reason a satanic symbol appears on the reverse side of the Great Seal of the US and also on our money?
Get a copy of William Cooper's "Behold a Pale Horse." You will believe it, think it's hogwash or at least really wonder about some things you hadn't thought of before.
Also appearing on our money: "Novo Ordo Seculorum"
Translation: New World Order

Ah, but both parties display three stars.
Couldn't be a coincidence, oh no...it's bizarre, sinister... even odd, don't you think?

Two possibilities:
1. The guy who designed it just happened to put them in that way.
2. It is a secret satanist conspiracy that wants to take over the world. For some reason, they have chosen to put their evil symbol on the GOP elephant.
Obviously, it is number 2. Thank God you noticed, now we can stop them.

Regarding "New World Order". I'm no latin expert, but check out this site:

Um..it's been YEARS since I took Latin, but I'm REALLY sure that it's actually "New Secular Order."
New World Order would be Nova Orda Terram (Cause I think Terra is feminine, etc....)
Although I suppose the argument could be made that the words might as well mean "New World Order"...

I don't think their down so much as differnet from the democrats. The dem party was founded first. I assume the Republican was formed in defense. The story of why Republicans have an elephant and dems a donkey is funny. Anyone know it?

That is the old Elephant. What you call an upside down star is the symbol for the Eastern Star that pointed to the manger of the baby Jesus. It was stolen by the pagans. The uninformed in ancient symbols usually make the assumption that it is a pentagram not knowing about the Eastern Star or in some cases the baby Jesus.

I've saddled horses, and watched others with llamas, camels, and even an elephant, and the blanket was always put on from the animal's left side. Ergo the design, that is symetrical on the blanket, would look upside down on the right side.
Turn the ass around and see if that happens. :^)

I may be incorrect here. But I thought that one of the reasons that the Eastern Star was considered Satanic was that it is associated with Venus (the planet) in the morning sky, which the Romans call Lucifer.
Originally, the word "Lucifer" only meant Venus in the morning sky. Later authors, perhaps Dante, took this name to refer to Satan.
Any thoughts on this?

The donkey's stars are just sitting there going nowhere.
The elephant's stars are rolling.
To: ahariail
That all may be true. The star in the east is used as the symbol for the Eastern Star. I know little of, nor do I care, what the pagans/neo-pagans do or think. The Eastern Star was hijacked from it's Creator who used it's long tail to point to his Son my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I never knew stars had an upside and downside.

Try to trace a route around it that does either of the following:
- Traces over each of the line segments exactly once; or
- Goes into, then out of, each of the dots exactly once.
I'll wait.

First, the side of the Pentagon (pentagram) was broken, releasing the beast. Now this.
By the way, there are hidden microphones in every Proctor and Gamble product, so watch what you say in the laundry room.....
