I have no quarrel with anyone's religious beliefs unless they attempt to harm others in the name of their religion. Is it POSSIBLE for you to have someone disagree with your views and not label that person negatively in some way?

I have read many of your posts here and in other forums. The one who claims to know absolute truth and who takes it upon himself to pontificate to others about what constitutes the correct moral code. And you say IM the dangerous one. Looking back thru history, I see your brethen in the Crusades, the Inquisition and the Salem witch trials

The rightwous rise

With burning eyes

Of hatred and ill will

Madmen fed on fear and lies

To beat and burn and KILL

Indulge me if you will, for a moment, with a simple one word answer. (that means "Yes" or "No" in case you didnt understand) - Assuming that one is in the right and extols the laws and morals of the allmighty, is it justifiable for such person to kill their enemies in the name of fighting evil?

Yes?

OBL and his minions killed in the name of their god. If you answer the question "Yes" - then what basis do you have to condemn Bin Laden other than getting into an arguement over whose god is the correct one?

I am so tempted to quote the Bible commandment, but know you would come back with the abortion issue, ignoring the fact that I CHOOSE not to engage in abortion, but leave the same choice to others. The Bible teaches that God offers man choice - salvation or damnation - If even God sanctions choice, how can you deny it and presume to follow this god?

Your arguements sir, are so contorted that we;ve ended up with the avowed agnostic (not atheiest) explaining the very basics of your religion to you.

Our back and forth has, I think, gone on long enough. It is obvious that never shall we meet in ideology. I also have the sense that you are a person of strong convictions, and I admire that in a person. Alas, all too often, a sense of conviction and the human ego combine to result in the arrogance that allows men to justify denying others the freedoms they demand for themselves. I say not that you morals of your religion is wrong, merely that the way the way you would exercise your beliefs as regards others goes beyond what I could presume any man to have the right or authority to do

I dont view you as "evil" or "bad" .... I see these labels as being subjectives used to define man's experiences in relation to his own perspective as opposed to being physical entities. I dont believe men willfully commit evil - rather all have their actions someone justified in their minds as being in accord with someone's "good". I dont hate you, though I cant say I could ever understand you.

If there IS an afterlife, then depending on which theory of god is correct, we could be in opposite places or we could both be sharing beers somewhere. If the stories arent true, we'll be six feet under rotting

"The Clintons have worked within a corrupted system with the support of a corrupt generational radicalism to draw an entire nation into their insanity. The entire nation is tied up in arguments over things that are so obvious that no mentally healthy adults should have doubts about them. Like the husband of an abused woman, the Clintons and their supporters have succeeded in grinding down the mental health, the self-respect, and the spirit of this nation."

"There is doubt in my mind as to whether the mental health of this nation can survive the Clintons’ insane level of denial and distortion. Clearly, there is no way any intelligent person in decent mental health could believe anything the Clintons say in the way of explanation. I believe what has happened is that the worst of 60s generational pathology, in which members have not been able to live successfully with each other, has been moved into the White House. It may be coming to a choice between the undermining craziness of the Clintons’ mental condition or the mental health of the nation. That is my absolute belief. Much as that woman had to divorce her husband to protect and restore her basic sanity, this country must obtain a divorce from Bill and Hillary Clinton. On the other hand, the Clintons and their allies must destroy the mental health of the nation to stay in power because no healthy population would tolerate them."

"And so it is with many aspects of American culture and institutions. Like a battered woman we are confronting something, or surrounded with something that feels crazy and is crazy. When we look around for support, we are told we are the ones who are crazy, and that compounds our lack of confidence and lack of assertiveness. And, again, the most common questions I receive are parallel to what that woman asked herself in her lunatic marriage. "Am I crazy, or has the entire country gone crazy?" "Is there something wrong with me, or something wrong with everything I’m seeing and waking up to every morning?" The good news is, if you don’t wonder if there is something seriously wrong with what you see going on around you, then there is something seriously wrong with you. The bad news is, if you feel like someone’s systematically trying to drive you crazy, it’s because they are, and they are dangerous. Years ago, a generation of oppositional-defiant radical children embarked upon a crusade to drive the adult world nuts and to destroy anything that symbolized the adult world. If you feel crazy and feel under attack, that’s the desired result. Like battered women, we get all kinds of explanations and thinly veiled accusations that we are the problem. But the explanations aren’t reality. Reality is what the Clintons, the Carvilles, and the radical left in this country are trying to talk you out of reasonably concluding."

Post 83 "...Jose Miguel..."

I am sorry, TETT, but you made your lack of knowledge on the subject of Elian obvious from the beginning. If you only understood what life in Cuba is like, and if you only knew that anyone such as Juan Miguel would never be allowed to come to America, unless he was under the control of the Cuban government, then you would see that this was more than just a parental rights case. But the problem is not your lack of knowledge of the situation. It's your ideals.

TETT, you are pro-choice. Whether in abortion, or custody, or habitat, you are pro-choice. We know that now. Everyone else on this thread, is pro-life/liberty/pursuit of happiness. You figure that if someone else wants to kill their son, then that is their choice, and it should happen. But you know what? If that child were to come back to life, screaming in their own pool of blood, then they would renounce all their murderers... their parents, the courts, the abortion clinic... all of them. They would wish the choice was never allowed to be made. And likewise, if Elian ever came back to America, he would renounce everyone who sent him over... the courts, the INS agents, the stormtroopers, the pilot, the voodoo people, the crazy people, the Clinton administration, the little statue of Eleggua, maybe even his father. Because life in Cuba sucks. And being drugged sucks. And having a high-powered rifle thrust in your face, that sucks too. So does social indoctrination, plantation life, and growing up knowing that for a little while, you were free, but no longer.

p.s. Elian wasn't being held hostage by crazy people in Miami. He was with his family. His cousin, his uncle, family. There wasn't anything wrong with that.
