BIN LADEN'S NUKES

BIN LADEN'S
NUCLEAR WEAPONS

ex-Soviet Warheads Become Fuel for Portable Terrorist Nuclear Bombs

Arab-funded terrorists smuggle nuclear warheads, purchased from the Russian mafia with opium and cash out of Russian territory, reaching Khost overland via secret routes through Uzbekistan. There, former Soviet scientists remove the active uranium to be processed and placed in backpack-sized nuclear bombs—ready for transportation to the West undetected—to explode in a blast of nuclear terror.

Al-Watan al-Arabi, an Arabic language newsmagazine, reports that worldwide terrorist mastermind Usama bin Laden has used two tons of opium and $30 million to purchase over twenty nuclear warheads. Bin Laden has hired an international team of rogue nuclear scientists working in a secret underground base to convert warheads stolen from former Soviet republics into miniature portable nuclear devices capable of striking targets around the globe.

The newsmagazine further states that bin Laden developed ties with the mafias of former Soviet republics during the Afghan War which provided him the key to obtaining nuclear missile warheads from the disintegrating USSR.

The Arab Afghans, as bin Laden’s fighters are often called, have established extensive bases and networks in many of the Central Asian and Caucasian republics where, due to the weakness of the central government and the minimal security, they are able to thrive unhindered. These terrorist groups operate under the cloak of extremist Islam claiming to oppose the local governments on religious grounds. However, in addition to their calls for the overthrow of “corrupt Islamic governments” these groups serve as a channel for bin Laden to trade Afghani opium to the Russian mafia in exchange for stolen nuclear warheads.

Al-Watan’s sources reveal that bin Laden recently sent a delegation representing himself and the Afghani mafia to meet with the mafias of the former Soviet republics. These mafia groups share a common extremist ideology and have disguised their criminal activities under the name of Islam. These mafias have terrorized the governments of the newly-formed Central Asian republics intending to destroy them and replace them with those following their fierce, extremist ideology.

This meeting of mafias was a prelude to bringing bin Laden out of Afghanistan and into power in one of these Central Asian republics.

Two years ago, a group of these mafia in the former Soviet republics procured a number of nuclear warheads to be sold to bin Laden and his Afghan Arab underground. They sold bin Laden over 20 atomic warheads in exchange for $30 million in cash and two tons of opium, worth $70 million. Al-Watan’s sources say that bin Laden was willing to pay any amount whatsoever in order to get his hands on nuclear technology. His plan is to develop “instant nukes”; backpack size or smaller nuclear devices easy to conceal and carry to any part of the world. Al-Watan’s sources say that bin Laden contacted these Central Asian mafias, whose access and connection with the Russian mafia enabled them to purchase not only the warheads but the expertise to support a full nuclear weapons program. After bin Laden’s assistants had tried repeatedly to hire nuclear scientists to develop the atomic bomb technology “in-house” and failed, bin Laden decided to purchase “ready-made” weapons.

Al-Watan al-Arabi’s report continues to that Western and Arab security agencies who have been following bin Laden’s movements know the sources of these weapons. Mamduh Salim, an expert in weapons electronics was recently captured in Munich and is being extradited to Washington where he has been indicted for conspiracy to purchase weapons-grade uranium in Eastern European countries for bin Laden.

Bin Laden’s attempts to purchase weapons-grade uranium from different areas failed. Al-Watan’s confidential source states, “All bin Laden’s attempts to purchase nuclear grade uranium in Eastern Europe were only a cover to distract intelligence agencies from his real work. bin Laden all along had been sending agents of these mafias to ex-Soviet republics to purchase ready-made atomic warheads. These warheads have been delivered to bin Laden from the Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Kazakh-stan and even Russia. They vary in size and number over twenty.”

Al-Watan’s confidential sources state, “Five nuclear scientists from Turkmenistan recently arrived in Khost. There, the leader of this nuclear group, who used to work on the atomic reactor of Iraq before it was destroyed by Israel in the 1980’s, is working to build a nuclear reactor. The purpose of the reactor is to develop a new type of atomic bomb. Taking the nuclear explosives from the warheads they have purchased, located in tunnels hundreds of meters underground, they plan to transform the fissionable material into a more active source, one which can produce a fission reaction from a very small amount of material and be placed in a package smaller than a backpack. Now bin Laden, at his secret base in Khost, is preparing a nuclear complex and is hiring hundreds of atomic scientists from the ex-Soviet republics. This is not difficult as he is offering $2000.00 per month salary, compared to the pittance $100-$200 monthly wages they receive in Russia, often not paid for six months at a time.”

"The mafia of ex-Soviet republics sold bin Laden over 20 atomic warheads in exchange for $30 million in cash and two tons of opium."

Al-Watan al-Arabi

Al-Watan al-Arabi goes on to say that Western security agencies are afraid that the atomic reactor and armaments plant being developed in Khost will be the means for changing these atomic warheads into miniature atomic weapons which can be used to threaten U.S. and Western cities. The report also acknowledges that these agencies now realize that the threat here is not “Islamic” in nature but rather is an organized network of terrorists whose intention is to build a criminal network for the creation and sale of two “hot” commodities: nuclear weapons and drugs. Their purpose is to provide these two “staples” to those who wish to bring down a government or support a particular political figure while simultaneously generating huge income and profits. Though many of the figures involved appear in the “name of Islam,” they in fact have nothing to do with the religion.

Al-Watan’s sources report that once the Soviet Union collapsed, the republics that were freed were so politically unstable and economically fragile that many nuclear warheads and other sources of active uranium were quickly hijacked by the mafia and sold to different nations and extremist groups. In Russia alone there exist over 30,000 nuclear warheads which the Russian mafia has no difficulty stealing or purchasing and distributing on the weapons black market. At the same time, the black market in drugs began to be flooded with opiates, particularly heroin, which can be traced back to Afghanistan. For the Russian mafia the most profitable trade is “nukes for heroin.” Experts consider this lucrative new trade to be one reason for the renewed popularity of heroin, a derivative of opium, after it had been eclipsed as the drug of choice by cocaine during the 80’s and 90’s.

Al-Watan’s research shows that UN statistics for 1977 claim Afghanistan produced 41 tons of opium. In 1997, Afghanistan produced 2800 tons of opium, and by November of this year, the UN estimates that Afghanistan will have produced 3300 tons of opium. The Afghan mafia, working with fellow extremists in Central Asian mafias, has found a growing market for its drugs. Thus security agencies worldwide worry that these two organizations working together are the greatest threat to world peace in this time. Al-Watan’s sources say that Afghanistan intends to become a nuclear player along with its neighbors in Islamabad and New Delhi.

Reflecting this concern, US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright defined an American plan for the future of NATO. In it she urged the European allies to adapt to the changing nature of global threats as terrorism and the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, eclipse the fears of the Cold War. Albright addressed a meeting of NATO foreign ministers on November 9th saying, “A ballistic missile attack using a weapon of mass destruction from a rogue state poses as great a threat to NATO now as Warsaw Pact armaments did two decades ago.” Mrs. Albright proposed that NATO should address the threat by increasing its efforts to prevent proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The first step to accomplish this end she said would be to expand intelligence-sharing.

Al-Watan al-Arabi of November 13th quotes one high-ranking U.S. security official as stating, “The $5 million price on bin Laden and his people is basically to permit us to catch him wherever he may be.” Another expert in the agency is reported by al-Watan al-Arabi as saying, “Most if not all of the world’s security agencies decided in early November to cooperate in monitoring the movements of bin Laden and his vast network from Afghanistan to the U.S., from Albania to Europe and Latin America. Many members of his organizations have already been quietly arrested.” Al-Watan states in the report that American and international fear of bin Laden has put the entire world on high alert to fight what is now considered the largest terrorist movement in the world.

bin Laden’s Extensive Network

According to al-Watan al-Arabi and al-Majalla bin Laden is now working with numerous Muslim and non-Muslim extremist organizations. Al-Watan al-Arabi reports bin Laden’s three main alliances are with Sudan, Shaykh Hasan Nasrullah of Hizbullah, and the Egyptian Jama‘at al-Islamiyya led by Shaykh Omar Abdur Rahman and Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri. Bin Laden was able to bring Hizbullah and Jama‘at al-Islamiyya to coordinate their efforts despite their disparate ideologies. Al-Majalla, reporter Jamal Ismail describes meeting with the former general director for military intelligence of the Pakistani Army, General Hamid Jol, who said, “bin Laden’s group, in alliance with 30 different organizations, is planning to retaliate against American interests around the world,” and added, “bin Laden’s group and alliances get their strength from the Persian Gulf nations.”

hostility to the U.S. is clear in his declaration (fatwa) in response to the detention of Shaykh Omar Abdur Rahman stating, “The U.S. is the enemy of Islam and we must fight it. Our order throughout the world, is to kill any member of its army and its leaders, and this is a religious duty.”

Al-Watan continues, “Bin Laden has many front offices in the Arab world, the West, and Africa. He uses many Islamic non-profit charity organizations for his work around the world to strengthen his position and his army which includes 5000 'kamikaze' suicide bombers. Among these nations are Bosnia, Kosova and many Islamic countries, including Turkestan, Uzbekistan and many Arab countries. The main power and headquarters of his organization are its offices in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan and especially the U.S., under an organization named al-Kifaah, based in Manhattan. It was opened in 1989 to train Muslims to fight in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union. In addition he found himself in need of an alliance with Hizbullah, headquartered in Lebanon, in order to establish a militant power base against the U.S.--and nations that he considers to be supporting the U.S. He brought many Hizbullah soldiers to Sudan to train in different forms of military technology, particularly the manufacture of remote controlled bombs.”

Islam cannot and will not ever accept terrorism and extremism in any form especially under the banner of Islam. Muslims in America and abroad strongly condemn these actions and movements around the world, and furthermore disassociate themselves from these deeds which are in direct contradiction to the Islamic teachings of peace and tolerance. ×

Good; The weapons were a minimum of two years old in 1999. More than likely they were a LOT older than that.

The Ukrainian mafiya will sell you a non-working replica of any weapon you desire. But the real thing costs extra.

Seriously, I heard that Bin Laden's in for an unpleasant surprise when he tries to use his clearance-sale warheads, especially the "suitcase" nuke.

Technology ain't for cave people, you know.

Just to put this report in perspective, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) published a list of World's Nuclear Stockpiles in February 1999 ordered by number of warheads. If the number for Bin Laden were correct Bin Laden would have been the 7th ranked nuclear power in the world.

During the first week of October, Israel's Mossad was reported to have detained a Palestinian attempting to enter Jerusalem from Ramallah who was wearing such a system on his back. The item was contained in a CIA Daily Threat Report. UPI has several times re-interviewed its sources who insisted that the item was in a such a report the first week of October. Initially, there were conflicting reports as to whether the pack contained a radiological weapon or a nuclear system. UPI re-interviewed the sources who saw the Daily Report item, and they insisted that the weapon was nuclear, not radiological.

I agree the stories are spinning. I can't verify the story . Only that it was posted over 2 years ago. Seems rather prophetic. More evidence of Clinton ignoring the problem. Demonstarting at a minimum his culpability by neglicence

Remember when the lost Russian suitcase nuke story was considered the product of conspiracy nuts..? That story has now been aknowledged as fairly accurate.

Look at the date on the article. None of those Islamokazi Nazi stormtroopers then hit upon the idea of converting passenger planes into flying ballistic missles to take down buildings. But after Sept. 11th there's no crazy idea they won't try to bring about the imminent end of America as the guy lighting explosives in his shoes has shown. Yeah while it was funny in one way of looking at it, the truth is these crazies are also deadly serious. It'll be a matter of time before they come up with another kooky scheme that will make us wish Sept. 11th was the worst of it. When it comes to killing innocent people rest assured these motherf*ckers will allow no one and nothing to stand in their way of ridding the world of America. We've just seen the beginning dear friends and this war is just an opening chapter in a long campaign to make the world safe for civilization and freedom.

Let's not forget, the Army lost track of how many nukes it had received delivery on 'way back in the 50s. The most accurate count of the howitzer-size nukes was "over 7,500", but no one ever figured out how many over. Not surprised that there are nukes floating around, but doubt that all of them are Russian. Backpack nukes and suicide bombers are dumb ideas. The easiest construction and delivery option is to build a crude fission weapon in a cargo container, put it on a ship in the same Pakistani or Yugoslavian port that the cargo containers of heroin from the Northern Warlords get loaded, and attach the detonator to a cell phone. Set it off in harbor, or after it's offloaded onto a truck or train to any major city. If any group actually wanted to do it a price of five to ten million dollars would not be unreasonable. This is not rocket science any more. Now our Commander In Thief has decided to cut the funding for the program that assists the Russians to securely destroy old warheads in order to use the money on Star Wars. Let's see, we can pay 40 million bucks in Russian wages in Russia to do a job which would cost 750 times more in the US and in return live more securely, OR we can take that money and spend add it to a program which can hit its target less than half the time even in the most rigged test imaginable and which has already cost us 100 billion dollars. Seems like a no-brainer to me. Incidentally folks, the anthrax is from Dugway Proving Grounds, where they have been producing it on a regular basis during the last 28 years that the Gov't has denied production of bioweapons.

That's a funny reponse, but there's no evidence the Muslims need them. Unlike, for instance, some of the posters to this thread.

Do you really think that if Bin Laden had that capability, he wouldn't have used it by now?

Isn't some of this story sending your BS detector into the red zone? "Five thousand suicide bombers"..."secret nuclear facility in Khost" ; that's just nonsense. Check this bit out again :

Bin Laden has hired an international team of rogue nuclear scientists working in a secret underground base to convert warheads stolen from former Soviet republics into miniature portable nuclear devices capable of striking targets around the globe.

Sheesh. Personally, I think the gang at Al-Watan al-Arabi wrote this after a Friday night on the arak while watching Dr No and Goldfinger on cable.

I do not know if he has nuclear or radiological capability, but OBL or his replacement would choose a time and a highly populated location that the west has overlooked and would be humiliated the most. I can think of several.

Read the book of Obediah in the Tanakh(Bible) for a description of the fate awaiting Islam, no mood altering drugs will be needed.

Wellllllll, this layman found the nuke article plausible enough. What do I know.

On the other hand . . .It SEEMS LOGICAL to me that:

(1) The mafia types in the former Soviet republics are not likely to be very value ridden beyond their own greed for goods, money and power.

(2) They are likely to be AT LEAST as powerful as some of the governments involved.

(3) They are likely to be very opportunistic.

(4) Bin Laden would love to do business with any one who'd further his aims--particularly such close neighbors.

(5) Bin Laden has ENOUGH access to ENOUGH petro dollars and radical Islamic dollars to pay whatever price necessary to acquire whatever goods he put a priority on.

(6) It's entirely probable to certain he has had a high priority on nukes for a very long time.

(7) Except for his supposed religious values, he's not 100% a dumb idiot in all other areas. He has demonstrated SOME capacity toward long range planning, organizational abilities, etc.

(8) Bin Laden would likely want to use his nukes when (A) satan and satan's behind-the-scenes henchmen for our era allowed him to; (B) when doing so would be the most dramatic and effective in Bin Laden's view.

(9) After some complacency has risen significantly in the U.S. and we're perhaps gloating over evident victories, might be a good time, in his view.

(10) It is interesting that a number of recently expressed prophetic voices have asserted that mid-January is a very vulnerable time in the U.S. for SAN FRANCISCO, SEATTLE, LA, DENVER, CHICAGO, PHOENIX, NYC, . . . for nukes, quakes and other unknown devastations.

We shall see. But one might want to keep one's seat-belt buckled and avoid high buildings.

"Isn't some of this story sending your BS detector into the red zone? "

Agreed ... much reads like pure BS out of a a 007 thriller.

However much of the TV and gov reporting has ALSO sounded like BS from a 007 movie. I find the article rather curious considering the source, date published and that alot of the rumors floating about Bin Laden have been on the radar screen for many years. I find it hard to believe that with all that we know now, of which the government knew so much more years ago..who held our guys at bay ? Just seems like someone at the VERY top of the excecutive branch must have known and didn't care enough about the american people to act with any certainty. I remember reading that Clintoon all but stopped the daily Intelligence briefings. Which I think was confirmed when Bush took office as it was reported these briefings were restarted. Clintoon was soo untrustworthy and his administration soo corrupt that it was not safe to brief many of his staff. I remember that many of his staff never got a proper vetting for security clearance purposes. I am thankful we now have a pres with the kahonas and principles to act.

As a side note, All this bs being floated a while back about the requirement of official government approval and legal sanctioning of assasination is cr@p. If anyone believes they are holding back wet black ops, I have a great deal on a bridge.

It's always wise to avoid the nesting areas of the liberals, more whine and media coverage for the buck. Terrorists know this as well, if the intent is to cause fear then the most media attention and the loudest wailing, would occur in these places. They seem to generally parallel some of the locations you mentioned.

Has no one noticed the absolute dearth of evidence linking Binladen to the embassy or WTC attacks? Afganistan has been offering to turn him over to the US for five years, if only our gov't would supply enough evidence to start extradition. Clinton refused, and Shrub said essentially, "Give us your war hero, who helped liberate your country and who controls troops that help to keep the rapists and mass murderers of the Northern Warlords at bay. In exchange we give you nothing and your leadership looks like cowards to the world and to your own people." Under the circumstances I wouldn't have handed him over either. (Don't even talk to me about that stupid video. No sane person would trust something that the CIA admits it has had control of for three weeks. What a joke.) Binladen is regarded as something of a holy man throughout much of the Muslim world for his strict adherence to his beliefs and willingness to die for them. He swore in an interview to a Pakistani newpaper that he had nothing to do with the WTC attacks, although he congratulated whoever had carried them out. Unlike in the US, where we are accustomed to the likes of Robertson and Falwell, in the Muslim world it is almost unheard of for a holy man to lie to other true believers. I don't believe for a minute that he did it. Let's face it Quix, if Binladen wanted to build a nuke he would have done so a long time ago. It's easy and with the collapse of the Soviet Union it's even cheap. Delivery is even easier and cheaper. Terrorism is not the focus of al Queda, training soldiers for the Jihad, the fight against the infidel, is the whole thrust of groups like it. Terrorism is just a byproduct, not the purpose.

Ok I will take your bait...

" Binladen is regarded as something of a holy man throughout much of the Muslim world for his strict adherence to his beliefs"

You sir are soo far in left field you can't even see the ball. I have many friends who are muslim and a few good ones who are also Afghani...BinLaden's actions are not based on a strict adherence of Islam. He is a fraud.... as for respect from his Islamic brothers, he distorts the belief system and garners the most respect from the uneducated sheeple and hate filled fanatics of the middle east.

With the way you speak of Bush referring to him as Shrub, I guess you relate well to the hate filled fanatics...
You still can't deal with the election can you?

They're Afghan, not Afghani.

I disagree totally. Many of the christians that I know find Pope John Paul, Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell to be poor christians and disgusting people preaching a distorted version of Christ's message, but all of them have followings in the millions. Unlike Baptists, however, Muslims do not accept hypocracy or lying by their leaders (except for Muhommed himself, but that belongs in another forum). If Binladen tells me that he did or didn't do something I would take it with a grain of salt since I know that he considers me an infidel. When he tells religious leaders of his own faith the same thing I would tend to believe it. The consequences of lying are too great, and it's out of character for a devout Muslim.

Of course he gains the most respect from the poor, ignorant and uneducated. Pretty much every religion I've seen relies on the great unwashed masses for support, especially those sects with fringe or violent tendencies. That's just history.

Want to see who did it? Follow the money. Al Queda had little to gain and much to lose by carrying out the WTC operation (as we've seen). Why did the CIA's proxy in Pakistan, the ISI, send Mohommed Atta $100,000 a few weeks before the attacks? What was the "business" the head of the ISI was conducting in the US during the two weeks before the attacks? Who did the short selling of American and United before their attacks, and why did they run their transactions through the CIA's favorite bank, A.B. Brown? Who had apparently just finished pumping around $100 million in credit card transactions through the system the moment the attack occurred?

Biggest question: Why won't the U.S. just show the world the evidence of Binladen's guilt, unless it doesn't exist?

(No, I'm not over it. I never liked Gore, but I think that the manner that the presidency was stolen is disgusting and should be condemmed for the crime that it was. That's neither here nor there.)
