Please note that as the counterpart to Barbara Olson's heroism, there is the behavior of former Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Crowe which has raised questions about whether he sold out his country for stock in the Arab-owned corporations which control US anthrax stockpiles. See yesterday's Elenchus File original report using the timeline to place Admiral Crowe's anthrax stock deal together with an alleged betrayal of America in letting Arab investors gain control of America's principle source of the deadliest forms of anthrax as well as the anthrax virus--and US citizenship for the Arab corporate chieftan to top it off. The report then couples these coincident events with Clinton's appointment of Admiral Crowe as Ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I will have a new report out shortly with additional details, but the original report raises these questions, though there are no certain answers on whether there was any quid pro quo. The article entitled "CLINTON CREW ONCE AGAIN BETRAYS AMERICA? -- HINTS", may be seen by clicking on this Free Republic website link: CLINTON CREW ONCE AGAIN BETRAYS AMERICA?--HINTS

More information to come on that shortly...Developing....

To be fair to NBC (boy does this hurt) couldn't her absence be explained by the fact that she was a contributor on a competitor?

Last nite on Fox they had a quickie special salute to those who dies during 2001. Was it just me or did they seem to go thru Barbara Olson might fast while showing multiple pics of most everybody else. The segment ended with George Harrison's pic up there - which was cool cause I always dug the Beatles. But based on the selection of the last pic, my guess is even Fox has its share of leftist editors. Maybe I'm just paranoid but boy did they whiz by Olson's name and pic.

I don't want to be picky or anything, but I can't even find the usual year-end list of "this year's dead" on MSNBC.com at all. I'll admit I'm intentionally ignoring the TV news for the next day or so, because I always find the Dec. 31 - Jan. 1 combination of empty New Year's party coverage and "looks back" at the prior 365 days to be exceedingly dull.

And I have to vehemently disagree that NBC is the "worst, most corrupt" of the Big Three. I think ABC and CBS are demonstrably far more to the left than NBC.

I don't think we want any president controlling the media.

That said, it is incredibly sad that NBC doesn't include BKO in their list of prominent Americans who lost their lives this year, if indeed they are not including her. Fox includes Olson - I had hoped they would end with her, but I think they went by date of death.

Barbara Olson is as inspiring today as she was prior to her death. My heartfelt prayers are with Ted and her family and friends.

. . . NBC news divisions have apparently made the decision not to include Barbara Olson in their visual obituaries or profiles of the most important Americans to die in 2001.

Despicable. Purely despicable. I do so try not to use words like this, but in this case -- well, damn it, NBC just plain sucks!! I hope FOX decides to ignore that SOB in their retrospective after he croaks! I know I'll be ignoring him. He has become like Arafat -- "irrelevant!"

Pardon me while I go clear the air of all the smoke and steam that has been coming out of my ears!!

Barbara K. Olson is no less a hero than all the others who valiantly fought to save lives on 9/11. She is, most decidedly, our FReeper Guardian Angel.

May God bless her eternally. She is missed, and she is loved, by those who matter.

Barbara Olson was a great woman. I have read "The Final Days," and it is an exhaustive and damning indictment not just of the final few weeks of the Clinton Presidency but of the former first couple in general.

That said, if you want to compare her "star power" to George Harrison and many other "celebrities" who died this past year, she comes up way short.

I would only take offense if lesser lights of the left who died in this past year receive more prominence.

Barbara Olson was one of those rare few who was both a great Republican and a true American hero. The RNC should have Fox News devote a special show just to her memory.

One of the few network show I watch is Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood. He also profiled about 25 famous and semi-famous people who died in 2001. Come to think of it, he did not mention Barbara Olson either. However, I am going to defend the editorial decisions of the networks just this once. This is pure speculation but my guess is that they have separated the horrible losses the country experienced on 9-11 from the traditional year-end shows in which they profile the famous who left us the previous year. Just a thought.

Charles Schultz Philosophy

You don't actually have to take the quiz. Just read straight through, and you'll get the point, an awesome one, that it is trying to make!

Take this quiz:

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.

4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.

5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten.

Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you.

Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards.

They are the ones that care.

"Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia."

----- Charles Schultz

BARBARA OLSON WAS A DISCIPLE OF DAVID HOROWITZ

Those who knew Barbara Olson best knew that she was a big fan of DAVID HOROWITZ and his website Frontpagemag.com. Until now, most Americans have been forced to watch our country and its culture drift further and further to the left. Not knowing the true reasons for this degeneration, we have felt helpless to stop it. We have wasted our time and our money supporting political candidates who have cynically sold us false promises about their ability to restore true American values. Now, after years of investigation and with precious little time to spare, DAVID HOROWITZ has finally found the ACTUAL SOURCE of this foul tide. Armed with irrefutable proof, he has exposed the CONSERVATIVE HOLOCAUST that has until now been secreted behind the tall, ivy-covered walls of academia.

Freepers, I personally urge you to support Mr. Horowitz's campaign in every way possible. Forget the politicians. Instead, speak to your neighbors. Form committees. Demand to see what is actually written in the textbooks given to our kids. Write letters demanding protection for conservative students and faculty. Show up at David's campaign stops. Visit Frontpagemag.com. Finally, and most importantly, I urge you to immediately send David as much money as you possibly can to save our conservative values from extinction. And please, FReepers, DIG DEEP because this is no time for half measures. DO IT NOW FOR BARBARA!

With David's leadership, we can and we will DEFEAT INTELLECTUAL TERRORISM and save our country from the evils of FULL BLOWN SOCIALISM.

Thank you, America, LET'S ROLL!

I also noticed that there was no obituary of Barbara Olson in the New York Times Magazine yearly obituary round-up, "The Lives they Lived."

But I guess the Times would explain it by the fact that Barbara's life didn't have as much impact on the world as some of the people they *did* profile:

Troy Donahue
Pricilla Davis
Joey Ramone
and Abe Beame.

Of course, we all know that the real reason such an exalted person (as well as a heroine) was left out is because she had the nerve to write something less than flattering about the boy president and his lovely and charming wife.

Not all networks ignored her Fox aired her funeral and Larry King mentioned her a couple of times. While Barbara's death is tragic, like the deaths of thousands who die young every year from AIDS and various other diseases, the networks have to make judgements on who to mention. Being the wife of a Bush Administration official is probably not enough to get mentioned.

Don't get me wrong -- I am certainly no fan of CNN -- but last Tuesday Ted Olson was on Larry King Live and they put together a wonderful tribute to Barbara for the full hour.

Last Thursday, December 27, was BKO's birthday. There was a memorial service for her in Houston, where BKO was born and raised, and I was lucky enough to be able to attend. It seems that many of her family members were unable to attend the one held in Washington. There were about 60 members of her family there, and the rest of the Mausoleum was packed. BKO's brother mentioned that Larry King had sent him several boxes of videos -- a copy of each of her appearances on his show. Also, for the memorial service, Larry King also narrated a 7 or 8 minute tribute with her life story. The last few seconds of the tape was a close-up of a piece of paper that simply contained the words "I Love You, Ted."

What a remarkable woman.

Well, NBC Nightly News didn’t show a retrospective of people who died, but they did wind up their newscast with a retrospective of Sept. 11th. They even included Mike Moran, saying “and you can kiss my white, Irish . . . “ They also included some nice clips of President Bush.

What visual obituary is the writer referring to? Only thing I've seen has been on a program about celebs and they didn't even include Jack Lemon. Do you know which programs specifically included and excluded Ms. Olson?

BARBARA OLSON, CONSERVATIVE HERO IN BATTLE AGAINST ISLAMIC TERROR AND CLINTON CRIMES, IGNORED ON NBC

Not only is she the most prominent, but she is also the wife of one of the top U.S. government officials, the attorney who represented candidate George Bush in the contested Florida election before the Supreme Court, and above all a stalwart, perfectly relentless fighter against the corruption of the government by the Clinton's, who left her husband at home on the day of the fateful flight to once again do battle in an out-of-town television interview on ABC's Politically Incorrect show, presumably in order to advance the thesis of her about to be released book, The Final Days (how ironic the name), which was the follow-up to her first Clinton book, Hell to Pay (more irony since there has been a lot of hell to pay from the Clinton treacheries--and it will not only be the Islamic maniacs, who were enabled to do what they did on September 11, 2001 by the Clinton perfidies, who will someday have hell to pay). Whatever one's politics, one has to acknowledge that hers is arguably the most significant death of the year, what with her dying directly at the hands of the terrorists and indirectly at the hands of the Clintons.
