I KNOW what you say is true but the only other option for one such as I (puter dodo) was Mac and It's just silly to spend that much money to spite BG. I mean spite has it's uses but not if it costs me a bundle. Bill can't keep his monopoly going forever. Somebody's going to crack it one day.

As for the clock.... double click it in the tray, and set it.

You'll like your VAIO. Had been using an 800 mhz with Windows 98 primarily to run Autocad 2000 and a few other business related programs, and really liked the results. I just switched to a 1.5 ghz VAIO with XP, and the Autocad program seems to run at the same speed, if not a little slower. It seems that I have to spend a couple hundred bucks to upgrade to Autocad 2002 in order for it to run properly with XP. XP has become an unnecessary expense for me.

It's a 150MP. Picture in picture TV as well. Didn't go for the High Def. and settled for the 15" but it's just as big as my 17" CRT.

Actually, I meant Windows ME, which I was very happy with.

As for the clock.... double click it in the tray, and set it. Yeah, I've done that about half a dozen times. Every time we cut the thing off and back on it not only doesn't have the correct time but it doesn't show the correct date either.

Go to
AlienWare, and take the plunge (the color choice is amazing).
They've become so popular, that Best Buy is now their outlet store.
It'll make a new man woman outta ya...

Did you get any warnings about software and hardware incompatibilities when doing the upgrade?

I had a program integrated into one of my computers that kept resetting my browser to hit ads when I started it. It seems my sis accidentally installed it. She's also the one that got me infected with Nimda. I really don't know how to help you clear it up. Sorry.
I enjoy my system. 2 Ghz 40Gig HD w/ 1.5 Gig Ram

It automatically recognized my home network, configured my Internet connection and prompted me to make a floppy so that the other PC could share the Internet connection! Any hints on setting up the home network? As soon as I get a new computer, it's what I have to do, so that both PCs can share the internet connection.
We DID run Cat-5 through the whole house, but so far nothing is hooked up to it!
