I stumbled upon a solution for me, at least - I don't know if this works for everybody.

When I request a bookmark it goes to that page but with only the URL filled in. If I try to enter it, it just blinks. It occurred to me that maybe I needed to enter a title, as it turns out any title and......voila - bookmarked!

I appreciate your concern and suggestions - thanks!

First time I've been here for a few days. Been trying to work out the anger and frustration hanging out with furry critters and a snowflake or two. It always seems easier to believe that G-d hears my prayers if there are no walls around me. THIS is the first post I have read since logging on. If I read not another thing tonight, THIS was worth the 5:00 AM wakeup. I hope you don't mind that I printed it out. There are many wonderful people I would love to share this with. Thank you very much for the ping. You never let me down.

In every fighter squadron I was in, there was a saying that we knew to be true, that said, when there was a true enemy, you negotiate with that enemy with your knee in his chest and your knife at his throat.

Thanks for the bump. I just got around to reading this today, after I had listened to a reporter from National Geographic on Fox and Friends this AM make comments to the effect that John Walker talked because CIA agent Span was screaming that he "would kill him." This guy's implication was that the US mistreated poor Johnny, who was only trying to kill fellow Americans.

Now Span is dead and Johnny is fast becoming a liberal cause celebre.

Is this country still too far removed from the reality of war, and an enemy that will stop at nothing to kill us?

"This guy's implication was that the US mistreated poor Johnny, who was only trying to kill fellow Americans."

That's why we no longer subscribe to National Geographic, as well as Smithsonian, (psuedo)Scientific American, Nature, or any other heavily biased false front magazines.
