E.g. Scenario -- terror attacks weaken U.S. and China decides to test us on the Wesy Coast.

Enggame of that scenario: the Chinese hire Louis Farrakhan as a consultant for "The Million Man Swim."

Regarding Sunburn and Yakhont--we test Aegis against Vandal drones (basically reworked Talos missiles) that are probably even toughter targets. It works.

As for how to stop a supercavitating torpedo: the first and best solution is to not be inside its effective range.

That's why US Ships have Air Search Radars. As a matter of fact the Close in Weapons System (CIWS) has a track while scan mode for just such an occassion. And remember this is old technology from the 80s.
