Breaking News BWI Airport
FoxNews ^

FoxNews broke into their programming about 5 minutes ago with a story about BWI Airport. Unfortunately I was getting into the shower and missed most of it. Can anyone tell me what is going on? My husband is flying out of BWI today to come home so I'm VERY concerned.

How did the shower go?
Soap up okay? Rinse off okay? Did you dry yourself off well, or walk around damp?
My God, girl, don't leave us in suspense about the real news...

Here's hoping it is only a false alarm.
FYI, back in October, the entire airport at BWI was shut down because someone discovered "a white powder" on the carpet.
Turned out to be coffee creamer. They are pretty skiddish at BWI since some of the 9/11 hijacker actually purchased their plane tickets at BWI in person.

I'm sure if your spouse was flying from an Airport that has something going on at it (especially after 9-11) you'd be slightly concerned. But let me not stop you from being a complete a$$.

1500 people evacuated including off 5 planes....Peir B shut down bomb sniffing dogs on peir.
To: MarkWar

mmmm...cukes.
To: Brytani
I was in the Detroit airport when they moved everyone out of one wing of the airport because of a bomb scare, more than a year before the 9/11 attacks. It's nothing new.

Any idea of why it's being evacuated? I assume it can't be that bad since there has been no more mention of it on Fox.

But, yeah, there's a little too much school boyish behavior going on right about now. I apologize on behalf of my sex.

"What are you wearing right now? Just a towel? " Can I borrow that towel? My car just hit a møøse.

The last time I was there it was a flipping zoo. Someone got past Delta's security, maybe, and they had to evacuate the place. That was in the morning. When I got there in the afternoon, there were lines snaking all thoughout the building as people waited to go back through the metal detectors. You could barely walk through the place for all of these lines.
And on an interesting side note, this was perhaps a week before Richard "Reeboks" Reid tried to light his shoes. That day at BWI, they were paying particular attention to shoes.

I'm SO SURE what I'd expect from a post like this one...
Now I'm going off for a shower myself.

I'm in Baltimore and I haven't heard anything on the local news. I wouldn't worry. Your husband might be late, but he'll be fine (but maybe a little fussy).

Can I borrow that towel? My car just hit a møøse. Don't you mean "a water buffalo"? [Chrevy Chase- Caddyshack?]
To: Dave Dilegge
Dog sniffing dogs? I thought that all dogs were dog sniffing dogs. What makes these dog sniffing dogs so special?

Guys, this is hardly the sort of behavior that is going to attract women to the conservative/republican cause.
Let's give it a rest, okay?
Mark's initial comment was pretty funny but then I think it just went on a little too long.
Okay guys...flame on...
To: Brytani
MSNBC said a security breach; SW completely shut down for about 1-1/2 hours...the 5 planes sitting and waiting have now taken off and things are back to normal.

I hope that she got all of the soap rinsed off. That could itch something awful later in the day if she didn't.
