Actually I did have my suspicions even before I clicked the link. In retrospect, I wish I had done some trouble-shooting since the speaker was actually from my office stereo, not my computer.

If my speakers were working correctly, the car seemed to be firing late on at least one cylinder. And I thought I heard some bearing squeal in the turbocharger. However, I did not find myself laughing. Ergo, I am sane.
