[history]
Former President Bill Clinton, suggesting that the Bush administration is pouring too much money into defense, told Long Island business leaders Friday that more federal dollars should be spent on foreign aid.
In his remarks Friday afternoon before the annual meeting of the Long Island Association business group at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Clinton mainly focused on the U.S.’s war on terrorism in the wake of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
Clinton asserted that he strongly supports increased spending on homeland defense and punishing terrorists.

Im for defense and prevention I just finished a week long training on military planning, programs and budgeting. The numbers I saw for the Clinton years don't support this statement.

For 20 percent of the proposed increases we could double our effort to build a world with more partners, When I look at the swift decisive manner in which our military destroyed Trashcanistan I feel like my military dollar is well spent.
When I look at what stupid social programs have done at home and abroad, I cant say the same.
Maybe we dont WANT to build a world with more partners. Inclusion for inclusions sake is not necessarily a good idea.

Im for defense and prevention, but for 20 percent of the proposed increases we could double our effort to build a world with more partners, said Clinton, noting that America spends less than one percent of its budget on foreign assistance. This is the exact limp-wristed mentality that empowered Usama. Some countries just need to get the cr*p bombed out of them.

Former President Bill Clinton, suggesting that the Bush administration is pouring too much money into defense... Well, that's one thing we can't ever accuse Slick of doing. Never mind that he sent our military on all kinds of missions all over the planet.
He's a hard guy to miss.
(btw, what was the original purpose of governments again?)

He talked about a Valentine's day dinner with Hillary. That doesn't involve sex. Can't we give him credit for that?

R&D dollars were reduced significantly under Sink Man. This while old weapons systems were having more and more problems and OMA was underfunded. Oh, to see what his national security assessments looked like prior to military budget submission. It would be very telling.

Bubba blubbers on and
onand onand on...Yeah right, Bill Clinton look what 8 years of your lack of a coherent, firm and resolute defense, foreign and immigration policies, policies that clearly lacked substance and dedication to the highest principles of your presidential oath of office brought to America's shores 9-11.
Moreover, why not start using your own money to help the poor instead of building yourself an expensive tribute, er excuse me, library. Your library will never feed a hungry impoverished child.

Wow, Clinton is more of a fool than I thought! It's amazing that America wasn't hurt more by his presidency.
To: spycatcher
No, clinton is not a fool.
The people of the United States are the fools for electing and re-electing him President. The full effect of his treachery has not impacted the U. S. yet.
The people of New York are fools for electing hillary Senator.
The business men who invited him to speak are fools because it is the goal of his and hillary's to totally destroy them.
On a closing observation: It has been attributted to Lenin as saying a capitalist will sell you the rope to hang him with if he can make a profit on it.
These businessmen are proof that this is a self-fulling prophsy.

Considering the "assistance" we are getting from the world in the war on terrorism, why are we even spending that much on those *ssh*les? They can eat sh*t and die.

He also said the U.S. should try to create more political allies throughout the world by spending more money As long as it isn't HIS money. Let the tax slaves pay for it.
America spends less than one percent of its budget on foreign assistance.
So? Isn't that really a bit too much? Something has to be done to stop it.
"I got a crash course," Clinton laughed. "I could pass a test. She said, you should know this stuff."
Not really. All he knew was how to set us up for 9/11.
Actually, all he knew was teenager stuff. Party, have sex, and eat pizza
I'm so glad he's not in the White House anymore. Good bye to bad rubbish.
To: gov_bean_ counter

At one point, Clinton joked that he had a Valentine's Day dinner with his wife Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), but much of the conversation revolved around her prepping him on Long Island issues.LOL! I can just see this dinner:
Scene: Early evening in a "nice" but rather out-of-the-way resturant somewhere in NYC.
Hillary (exasperated): Bill...Bill...Hey, *&%$#^..will you listen to me?? And quit looking at that waitress...
BC: Humm? What? Oh, sorry...What were you saying? (He spots a pretty girl. Smiles at her.)
Hillary: Oh, &^%$#@. Bill!
BC: Ah...what...huh? Oh sorry...What were you saying? I forgot..."
Hillary: You dumb %$$#@*. I was saying that you'd better not make a ^%$#@& of yourself at that speech tomorrow like you have the last couples of times. Those *&%$#@ out there on this island can really...(continues talking)
BC: distracted by other, more interesting, things, merely nods head, goes "Hummm...", "You don't say", and/or "I think so, too" every once and a while.
Dinner, half eaten, ends early. ("This food tastes like ^%$#@") Neither knowing where the other one spent the night...or cares.

Counting Clinton's Cruise Missiles
Former Reagan Assistant Defense Secretary Lawrence Korb tried to help out the Clinton administration with one of its burgeoning Balkan war public-relations problems: the widely held notion that Bill Clinton has gone through the U.S. stockpile of cruise missiles like a kid playing with firecrackers on July Fourth.
As early as two weeks ago, defense experts began to note that air-launched cruise missiles were in such short supply that bombers were actually "conserving" their use.
Writing in last week's New York Times, Korb places the current supply at just 100, but says the shortage is not Clinton's fault since the next generation of air-launched cruise missiles is still in development and nobody anticipated they'd be in such great demand today.
And how great is that demand?
Korb compared figures for George Bush's three-month-long 1991 Persian Gulf War to Bill Clinton's December 1998 "Impeachment War Against Iraq." Even amid Korb's favorable spin, the numbers tell a devastating story.
In six weeks of air assault during Bush's 1991 effort, the Air Force shot off just 35 air-launched cruise missiles out of a total supply of 300. During his four-day-long Impeachment War Clinton launched 92 -- nearly three times as many in one-tenth the time.
The sea-launched Tomahawk figures tell the same story. Korb says we now have about 2,000. In 1991, Bush used 288 for the entire six-week air war. Clinton used 320 in four days.
Moreover, at least 1991's Desert Storm accomplished the stated purpose of running the Iraqis out of Kuwait. Not only didn't Clinton's "Impeachment War" have any discernible impact on Saddam Hussein, most Mideast watchers now say that the Iraqi madman is stronger today than he was before Clinton went cruise missile crazy on him.

At one point, Clinton joked that he had a Valentine's Day dinner with his wife Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), Of course, he was only joking.
Now I wonder who he really had dinner with on that day.
