Anything is possible. He used to work in the comix and role playing game store near the University of Oregon campus. Those comix collectors/vendors are pretty much a tight knit group.
Of course, he might of left to start his own store in next door Springfield to simply find a larger pool of availible prey, and his friends could be innocent.
Whatever the story is, I hope they get all these rats if indeed their is more then one. There are disgusting crimes out there, but this one is so horrible I wouldn't mind taking a club to this perp myself.
He should never see the light of day again.

Police say suspect didn't molest boys at Scouting events

SPRINGFIELD - Police investigators say a Scout leader charged with molesting 10 boys took them to homes he rented and his sports trading card business, but no evidence indicates that any abuse occurred at Scouting events. Steven Jeremy Freeman, 36, of Springfield faces 16 charges of allegedly abusing boys ages 7 to 14 in Eugene and Springfield. He was a Cub Scout den leader and a Boy Scout assistant troop leader until he was arrested Friday and relieved of his Scouting duties.
Police said some of the boys were Springfield Scouts and some of them met Freeman through Trading Cards Unlimited, his business on Main Street where he also lived. One of the boys is a Eugene resident, but police released no other information on the victims.
In a search at Trading Cards Unlimited, police found still photos of nude and partially naked boys and videos of Freeman having sex with some boys, Harrison said.
The alleged abuse happened in homes that Freeman rented in Eugene and Springfield and at Trading Cards Unlimited over the course of four years, from December 1997 to February 2001, according to police and court records.
Police also are checking a report that a former landlord called state child protection workers about Freeman in 1998 because he was concerned about Freeman's son, now 14.
The landlord, Bill Metzker, said Freeman moved into a rental home on Keller Street in Eugene with his ailing mother and his son and lived there from October 1997 to May 1998.
Freeman said he was recently divorced and had come from Culver City, Calif., Metzker said. Area neighbors soon began expressing concern about the boy's well-being because of the way he interacted with other children in the neighborhood, Metzker said.
Child Welfare Services officials won't comment on the case, citing privacy laws, but Harrison said Springfield police are aware of the call.
Freeman's son was placed in state custody after his father's arrest, Harrison said.
Freeman told police he adopted his son seven years ago, Harrison said.

This guy is worse than snake scum and should be thrown in prison, handed a pair of earrings, and be told to shut up and put them on.
But I do have one comment about parents trusting too much. My son knows that if anyone, I mean anyone touches him or even looks at him funny that he is to let us know asap.
I can't understand how creeps like this a**hole get away with molesting so many boys without a one of them saying anything to anyone.
