I received one of those mailbox Nigerian letters last September. I think it is my third.

So, after you got your share of the money, how did you hide it from the IRS?

I insisted on getting my share shipped in cash in $100 k batches via UPS. I've got the $3 million buried in the back yard in surplus ammo boxes. I think the bank is getting suspicious as to why all my bank deposits are in cash.

Be careful and don't get in line with the others that lose up to $100 million a year in this scam..... or so they say.

I had one last week that was going to give me a commission for moving money from a Swiss account into mine and I would get lots of money. They were shipping arms somewhere. They would just drain my account. I'd like to know how they got into my mail. I just deleted it.

I ain't got $10 to lose, let alone $10 million!

My job got eliminated in the wake of 9-11, I'm selling my house at a loss, so I'm not exactly flush with cash right now! If I wasn't so poor, this wouldn't be so funny.

,,, the sad reality is that if these scammers got your money, they'd be more creative and do a lot more with it than the government could with the same amount they scam out of you in tax.

Thanks.

We have four children. We stopped at four because we heard that ever fifth child born in the world is Chinese and we don't speak that language.

Barnum never said "there is a sucker born every minute". The fellow that said it was David Hannum.

Reply to the e-mail with an anatomical instruction of where to put the money. Chances are it'll get returned to you, but hey, maybe the guy will get it and do it.....

,,, having three children is usually the optimum. It's called the lighthouse keeper theory. If two kill each other in a card game or some other likely point of disagreement, there's still one to keep the light burning.

I hand checks to people all the time and on those checks are my account # and the ABA bank routing #. You mean anyone with that info can take $ out of my account?

Yes they can take money from your checking account. Before my son opened his checking account he needed to pay a bill and he gave me the money, I gave him my checking account number and he called and paid over the phone. The company he paid never called me to verify that I gave permission, they just deducted the amount from my account. Pretty scary, isn't it?

In a word, yes. Covering your tracks is a bit more complicated but only a bit.
