Actually he started me with a shotgun so the pistol kick wouldn't scare me so much. But I was only about 8 or 9 then.
Those were the good old days when the shotgun was leaning in the corner of the bedroom and the cocked and locked 1911 was on the nightstand (without any dang locks) with 3 kids under 10 in the house. Nobody played with them, and I didn't need no damn Eddie Eagle either.
Congratulations to all of you in Michigan! Now, send those good vibes southeast to the Land of Lincoln.
Wanna bet !
Well, sorta kinda have it. We still need to get nondiscretionary licensing and do away with those abominable "gun boards" that decide whether or not to "grant" a taxpayer a license.
If they can have nondiscretionary licensing for much deadlier equipment -- responsible for many more deaths and injuries per year than handguns, then surely they can have the Secretary of State figure out how to add a "CCW" endorsement to the driver's license for non-felons/non-institutionalized taxpayers.
That aside, what it sounds like is that we now have semi-practical open carry. It's not as humane as New Mexico, which considers your car an extention of your home, and thus allows open or concealed carry of a loaded handgun on your person while driving your car, but it's as the saying goes "a good first step."
Unless I missed something, it's finally legal to routinely transport your handgun in the trunk of your car (so long as you avoid der verbotten zones), and then load and holster it when you arrive at your destination.
"Wanna bet !"
Man, I hope not. How many more RINOs do we need in DC?
(Besides, if you saw the crestfallen look on Johnnie's face -- the first time I've ever seen him look defeated -- after he left from his post-election meeting with Bush last year, and compared it to his ebullient demeanor right before the meeting, I think you'll conclude that Dubya ain't real interested in providing a coat-tail to the guy.)
To anyone who's bubbling over with gratitude for Engler's decision to sign this into law, the sentence quoted above should tell you all you need to know about just how much of a gung-ho pro-RKBA kinda guy he really is.
Sic-em fella.
None the less, signing the VEAR bill is great news and a major victory for MCRGO.
You must be referring to Michigan's mommy, Jenny Grandstand Granholm. She has the backing of king fish Wayne County Executive Ed McNamara who never met a contractor he wouldn't shake down. She is a big proponent of class warfare so I don't expect that many pro-gun bills will be signed by her if she wins.
Ditto!!!
would that be commie blanchard or commie granholm??
