For the last time - you are wrong. I followed her every move - over and over from the first moment it was aired. And you are a vengeful person. I hope you never have to experience mental illness. But then, maybe you'd be capable of a little more compassion for someone who is obviously ill.

You are right, but unfortunately, the defense constantly puts out their view of the criminal as the victim, and people swallow it whole. After all, it takes a super-Christian to understand poor Andrea and dispense forgiveness and absolution. The rest of us, who cry out for justice over the spilled blood of 5 innocent children, are just mean and nasty, incapable of mercy. What a country!
Don't bother trying to reason with them, some of these people would jump on the side of any mass murderer falsely thinking it will elevate them in God's eyes somehow. Personally, I hope some hardened gal in prison, who also is a loving mother, takes care of Ms. Yates.

One more thing - if God is as you say, then I suppose if Andrea had been in the place of the woman caught in the act of adultery, Jesus would have let the rest of the sinners go ahead and stone her to death for her sin, eh???

For example, I have no compassion for the likes of SUSAN SMITH and her fate as sentenced -- a completely SANE woman who committed a purely selfish act. Even still, I have no right to condemn her to hell.
What I DO have compassion for is an OBVIOUSLY MENTALLY ILL PERSON, who is not in her RIGHT MIND. The act was horrendous, but that does not make Andrea an evil person. Only God can judge and weigh all mitigating circumstances, and there are many for Andrea.
I repeat: "Judge not, lest thee be judged."
How pure are YOU in thought, word, and deed? And if not, do you have documented mental illness to blame it on? I certainly hope so for your sake.

Nope, I am still right. One was nor more sane or insane than the other. Both are mass murders only Andrea has a bigger body-count. Both should be put to death. Hopefully, some gals in prison will eventually get both.

Wrong again. She's not insane, she's a mass murderer.

Yes it does. She's quite evil.

From the sound of some of the many posts I have been reading on this thread, God can take a nice vacation. Hyper-forgiveness doesn't give anyone points with God.
I repeat: "Judge not, lest thee be judged."
Oh like you just "judged" her mentally insane?
How pure are YOU in thought, word, and deed? And if not, do you have documented mental illness to blame it on? I certainly hope so for your sake.
God forbid that I ever do anything that would land me in front of a jury but if I were guilty, I sure hope you're on the jury! :)

Big difference. That woman asked Jesus for forgivness - she didn't try to cop an "insanity" plea - or any other plea. Jesus wouldn't have bought it anyhow.

I agree with you.
It's sad that there are so many here who apparently think they're perfect "know it alls." However, they don't see themselves as others see them.
To: oremus
You WILL eat your words.
Oh, you mean I'm not forgiven - I'm going to be punished for daring to utter words that you find disagreeable? Seems your whole absolution thing is conditional after all. I mean, what's a few words compared to slaughtering 5 innocent children? BTW, the New Testament contains an example of two folks in the church who held back on their contributions. God struck them down dead on the spot. See if you can spot those verses tucked amongst the ones you selectively believe in. How about letting God speak as to who is forgiven and who isn't - apparently he has standards.

Exactly - then stop trying to claim that He has already forgiven her, you don't know that, and it still doesn't prevent society from exercising law and order - read Romans 13.
I repeat: "Judge not, lest thee be judged."
Then why judge Susan Smith as guilty, as reasonable have regarding your poster girl for mental illness Andrea? Let's open the prisons and let them all out, after all, God has forgiven them all. Can they live next to you?
To: GussiedUp
ROFL! I give up - Go read a bible - that woman did NOT ask anyone for forgiveness. I'm not wasting my time talking to the likes of you. You know nothing about Christianity and shows by your ignorant replies, especially the remark about "judging" her insane. I won't even bother to explain because nobody's home anyway.
Good luck at the Throne.

You people are hilarious. You read the most ridiculous things into what I'm trying to say. The latest comments are so ludicrous they're not even worth replying to. I see what I'm dealing with (which is exactly what I suspected).
YAWN. Good night.

Indeed, please do and request guidance from God, don't offer it. :)

You know nothing about Christianity
What's this?? You're judging me? I happen to be a Christian. Funny how some folks can't take the advice they so love to dish out. :)
