I was there for that event. I wrote up the piece and posted it elsewhere.

The best part was when the firemen had roped off the area and they brought the painters over to ask them about the strange substance and one of the painters knelt down and tasted the plaster.

My guess will be someone who forgot to dump their minnows after fishing, realized he wasn't going fishing again soon, and stopped and dumped the minnows in the reservoir.

Good guess. Suspect we've all been there, done that.

At least until I discovered that artificial lures will actually catch big bass.

I live between Denton and Easton, btw. Kinda embarassing that the Eastern Shore had two of the most laughable incidents. Was it Cambridge that had people calling the FD over bird droppings, thinking they were a chemical dropped by aircraft?

The place where the plaster incident happened was at the parking lot at Annie's in Kent Island.

I think the best previous one were the women who called the police and got a HAZMAT team out to Kent Narrows in Maryland because some painters dumped some plaster in a parking lot at a restaurant,

Umm, excuse me folks, but our government has asked us all to be "on alert" and report suspicious activity just like this. Yes, there will be many false alarms. But we do know for a fact that there are not just a few, but perhaps tens of thousands of people out there that would like to kill as many of us as possible by any means possible, and hundreds of millions of others cheering them on. This may be a big joke to you, but I assure you that our enemies are not joking, they are deadly serious.
