*** Disgusting Anti-Gun Ad ***
self | 04/16/02 | self

Posted on 04/16/2002 8:42:48 AM PDT by Jefferson Adams

This special little ad -

appears in the April edition of "Working Mother" magazine, and probably a lot of other places. I saw it whilst flipping through the magazine at the optometrist's office.

The small print makes it "clear" that if your child visits another child whose family owns Evil Guns, they are at great risk. The little girl looks like she's been beaten, and she's "dressed appropriately" in body armor for visiting those friends whose family owns guns.

This blatant and disgusting propaganda is sponsored by Asking Saves Kids You might want to visit their website and/or email them at staff@paxusa.com or staff@pax.com. You can call them at 212-983-8705.

This is pathetic.

You might want to be careful with that 'bang list', Mr. Adams...there's a LOT of those "right-wing extremist, pro second amendment, Christian-type WEIRDOS" on there! :-) Not sure how that 'list' thingie works myself; perhaps Anna or Merc can help you out.

Ahem.

That's "Right-wing Christian Patriot Militia Extremist Wackos".

Practice saying it until you can casually use it to refer to yourself when conversing with Lieberals (Notice I didn't say, "communicating"). They turn amazing shades of mauve and puce.

Jews are especially encouraged to refer to themselves as Christians in the above context when conversing with Lieberals, *especially* Jewish Lieberals, since being Christian is politically incorrect among Lieberals and being Jewish is not (sorry, fellow Jews, but that's just the way it is). They turn a *most entertaining* dead green color...

(sorry to continue my harangue, but...)
I've been meaning to say, apropos of these intrusive, scurrilous attempts to intimidate gun owners (not that such a thing is possible, except in the minds (if any) of Lieberals because they themselves are in a constant state of fear and intimidation), that we need a to develop a "response" catechism of the same sort as the gun-grabbers' silly "interrogative" one. I.e., when asked, "Do you have guns in your house", one could respond with, "Do you have drugs in your house?" (I don't have any really good ideas here, but you get the drift).

Thus, when the word gets out that people asking such questions go away very unhappy, their "campaign" will backfire, and they'll have to go back to their leather-lined garrets and smoke more pot and try to dream something else up...

Geez...everyone's a critic! :-) I don't pay much attention to other media anymore, such as television or newspapers; so it's difficult to keep up with what I'm being labeled as nowadays. In any event, I will do my VERY BEST to practice over the next few days...thanks for the heads up!

My post #31 was in reply to statements in the context of home defense. As for the ultimate meaning of the 2nd Amendment, yes, it's about hunting politicians. To wit:

I wonder just how many of those groups receive public funds...what a hoot, reporting their violations of Federal Tax Law to the IRS...

Not in a safe I would'nt, except for storage. If I ever need it for defense it has to be within reach and loaded

I used to be that way. My three year old makes it unwise right now.

I have a friend who says she won't let her kids play at our house because I have a shotgun.

I hope you don't let your kids play at her house?

40% of homes with kids have guns

100% have knives, 100% have medicine cabinets, 100% have lethal chemicals etc

I wonder what percentage has parental supervision?

Agree that with a 3 year old you need to be more careful. But if you can't get to it when you need to protect your 3 year old what good is it? But I am lazy. Rather than be on top of it every second I simply choose to be more vunerable and don't have access to my gun most of the time. But I don't kid myself. I know that my choice makes me more vunerable.

I like her, but she's delusional to think an untrained house dog is going to do anything except pee on the carpet

I have to say, you really got me LOL with this comment! Too true!

"Over 40% of homes with children have a gun."

...and we must not rest until 100% of homes with children have guns!...and they are safe!
