They wanted to do their press conference on the 7th anniversary of the OKC bombings, I guess. But yeah, I wish they would have held it back to Monday.

Maybe even better, I wish the investigators would have gone on O'Reilly/Hannity a few times to "tease" the upcoming revelations so it would have had some momentum.

It has been offered that 1994 GOP election had more to do with Waco than the 1993 tax increase. Secondly, after the 1993 WTC bombing, Clinton polled weak on 'terrorism' and thus could not afford two attacks on American soil plus a Waco in one term.

Stephen Jones said as much in his book, so frankly, I am struggling with what is new here to give the story some legs this time.

The widow's confession sounds a lot like Luther "Jerry" Parks wife saying that her husband was kill by Clinton for what he knew, and yet the story has not gone anywhere in 9 years.

Timmerman has been wrong on scandals before, but my concern is that the Conservative Johnny-come-lately press (I include Judicial Watch) is shedding light on the same information to push the agenda for war on Iraq.

Worse, the General Partin 'cutter charge' group is starting to look like a disinformation effort to keep the focus off a basic question: what the f*** was Terry Nicholas doing in the Phillipines all those times?

Has anyone yet come up with a sensible and internally consistent theory as to why the Government would have wanted to distort the history of this event?

I'll give you MY humble working theory...(FWIW)

I think clinton knew in advance that it was going to happen, that a homemade truck bomb would do SOME damage to the bldg. I believe Clinton saw this as a golden opportunity to pin the blame on the "right-wing clinton haters", using McVeigh as poster-boy/patsy.

I believe clinton sent in black ops personell to wire the Murrah Bldg with military-grade explosives which were armed with seismic triggers. When McVeigh set off his truck bomb, it detonated the (REAL) inside bombs, and took down the bldg. Clinton then immediately went on the offensive, blaming "right-wing talk radio" (which was starting to ask hardball questions about Vince Foster, Waco, whitewater, etc) for inciting the American people into "mistrusting their government".

This halted the Contract with America in it's tracks. Clinton quickly caught McVeigh, demolished the Murrah bldg evidence. Case closed. It was the right-wing clinton hater nuts who did it.

They have every reason to cover up the truth because, IMHO they engineered the tragedy.

Thanks for putting this out there ... We have learned through time that we control very little. We can work to support truth and the right thing to do ... then we must let it go. Power above and beyond us is there ... always.

The following makes sense to me: Clinton didn't want to disturb the "good times"; he also hoped that, by not responding to WTC I, and OKC, there would be a bigger atrocity which WOULD rouse the populace and make him, effectively, King. Unfortunately for Clinton, Bush gets to be King instead. The Patriot Act is an abomination. It should be repealed or appealed to the USSC as soon as possible.

Works for me.

No not Bill Clinton, someone much WORSE in my opinion. Ken Starr.

Your attempt to put Judge Starr in the same class, or even worse, than that corrupt, pathologically lying, impeached rapist piece of trash is beyond despicable. Get a clue.

Ahh, the Cynthia McKinney from the Right theory...

Yeah, I know... but I can think of no theory that fits all the pieces together as well. They found OTHER bombs inside the building. Here is a link to local OKC news broadcasts where they reported that bombs were taken out of the wreckage, then later reported on-air that the FBI agents inside the bldg confirmed to them the existance of these bombs.

LINK

The truck left no crater commensurate with an explosion big enough to destroy a steel reinforced concrete bldg some distance away. The truck wasn't parked next to the area where the building suffered the most damage, etc etc...

Cynthia McKinney made a wild accusation without a shred of evidence. There are many many unexplainable things about this case, from withheld evidence to eyewitness testimony of unlocated John Does to on-air broadcasts of OTHER bombs... there is a LOT here.

He was hoping for the big event, 911, to happen on his watch, which would have made him king. Can't trust those middle easterners. No sense of time or dates.

Remember the big news on talk radio in spring of 2000 when Clinton gave Janet Reno extra powers in the case of national emergency? I can't remember exactly what is was, but as of August or September of 2000, some powers were moved to the Attorney General that were unprecidented. There was no real explanation, but many speculated that something big was going to happen....and many thought Clinton would attempt to delay the 2000 election so he could be President longer.

I have a clue. My point is that Ken Starr has poisoned the well of justice in this country to the point that no future president will ever again be investigated as thoroughly as he had the chance to investigate clinton.

The official history of America is that Richard Nixon (i.e. "Leader of The Crooked Republicans") was suspected of wrongdoing, investigated, EXPOSED, and forced to resign. Clinton (i.e. "Leader of The saintly Democrats")was suspected of wrongdoing, THOROUGHLY investigated, EXONERATED of "serious wrongdoing" (just found guilty of "personal weakness") and allowed to finish his term.

IMO what Ken Starr wrought was far worse in the long run than what Clinton did. Starr sat on a mountain of evidence. If it hadn't of been for Linda Tripp's tapes, and Monica's dress, Starr would have exonerated Clinton COMPLETELY OF ALL WRONGDOING

That was my point. No need to get insulting.

My take is the 'bust gone bad.' I believe Andres Strassmeir was a government agent who may have provoked/stumbled upon a plot being hatched by Nichols and McVeigh and others to blow up a building. I believe that the ATF and others went to arrest McVeigh and then lost him (no one from the ATF showed up for work that day recall...) Nicholas and McVeigh discovered that they did not know how to build a bomb, so Nichols went to the Phillipines to get some training.

The people spreading your theory are too corny for me and seem to have an agenda of their own.

Witness General Partin who lent his name to the Waco trials that involved Ramsey Clark and Kirk Lyons, whom McVeigh called the day before the OKC bombing.(!!!) (Lyons is Andre Strassmeir's attorney.)

By shifting focus to forensic questions about the bomb and shadowy government conspiracies, general government arrogance/incompetence is overlooked.

Did you watch the TV news video on the link I provided you? How do you explain the FBI agents inside the wreckage confirming on-air to the local OKC newsanchors that they took MORE BOMBS out of the Murrah bldg?

You believe they LOST a huge ryder truck? They knew the date of the attack and the building, why weren't undercover ATF agents surveiling every aspect of the murrah bldg? If a ryder truck pulled up in front, couldn't they have swooped in immediately, arrested the drivers and defused the bomb?

We invested billions in the NSA/CIA/FBI/INS/DOD/SEC/IRS/FAA.. and they could not stop 19 bumbling hijackers from spending years in this country learning how to fly airplanes so I believe the ATF could lose a Ryder truck.

I believe the ATF could lose a Ryder truck.

Do you believe the ATF was keeping a federal bldg full of children, which they KNEW was about to be bombed by terrorists, under surveilance? If so, wouldn't that huge Ryder Truck parking in front have been kind of a red flag to them?

That is what I would like to know...I think McVeigh thought he was going to blow out some windows and had no idea that the contractor for the Murrah building had skimped on materials. The ATF burned 82 children alive at Waco so I really can believe anything you say about them.

I cannot believe that war veteran McVeigh would be so shell shocked as to climb into a getaway car with no plates unless he was truly shocked at the size of the blas.
