The problem with a sign like that, is is says that the people who made the sign believe most folks need to be told that it is still Gore Country. That sign says, "If we didn't tell you this is still Gore country you would not know it."
They might just as well put up a sign that says. "Support for Gore is not obvious."
Do you notice the defeatism in all the stories? They say Bush stole the election. It is like a losing team blaming it on a bad call by the refs. Think about how a coach that wins a lot handles a bad call He never ever lets his players blame the call. He will point out all the things they did wrong. He will point out over and over that if they had done those few things right they could won the game. They would have one even if the refs had made 5 bad calls.
A party that thought it could win, would do it like the winning coach. They would say if each precint worker gets just one more vote out, we will win. Then they would say If one more will win, We need to get 10 more. We will not be angry if we win by a landslide. We will be looking for excuses if we lose. If they have all 9 judges, we will get out the vote so it never gets to court. That is how a political party consumed with winning talks.
They would have talked about how they were going to out organize, out work, and out campaign the Repubicans. Instead they spent time attacking Bush. That is not what a winner does.
A winner always talks about how he is going to win. A loser talks about how terrible his competitor is.

What is with his armpits? I am convinced that Algore got green mold and mildew the last year or so since the election fiasco ended.
It has just been the PITS for him ya know!

Not referring to the soda, although it will do that also, in my experience.

Wow - she IS a serious person, isn't she? That's a heavy-duty topic to try to tackle. Notice the 'warning' in bold? She definitely should have gone with Colin Powell to the Middle East. I'm sure it would all wrapped up by now....maybe even 'new and improved'.

Welcome to FR, ZinGirl. I hate to tell you this, but I have a T-Shirt that says, "Friends don't let friends drink White Zinfandel." LOL!
Have a great time here. It takes 1000 FReepers to change a lightbulb, too.

Heck no! I do 4 - 8oz cups of starbucks a day!
To: All
I think that Tipper has a drinking problem. If you look at her weight gain and the weight around the "middle". I will also wager that if she gives up all drink for 2 months she will lose the "bloat" and be an attractive size 12. Tipper, needs to speak to Betty Ford. The woman has problems that need to be addressed.

I had heard Gore had been sweating and was damp under his arms but I never guessed it was this bad! Peeee-Yuuuuuu! He needs to start wearing those "dress protectors".

But I keep my eyesight.
The local grocer sells it cheap, not much more than Folger beans in the bag.

To: Slip18
Hi, & thanks, slip....I know, I know....I "cope" with the hard rap I get ordering White Zinfandel....there's probably a support group out there I should join. My brother & father are total wine snobs and don't even consider it a wine at all. I'm a snob, too....I can only drink Sutter Home WZ....anything else tastes like white grape juice gone really bad (like other wines AREN'T grape juice gone bad?). Feel free to send me all the Sutter Home WZ you don't want!! (shameless attempt at getting free wine....my husband calls me a 'lazy drinker'...if it ain't in the house, I won't go buy it...I'll wait until the next time I'm out to pick some up.)

Blend wines...yech :)
I stayed at the Milano Winery one Christmas for a few days. The owner told me how he grew up with the Fetzer boys and some of the other families in the area. But he said anymore, wines are blends. It sounds like a co-op between the wineries in order to stay afloat. They share, blend and label/market it was their own. Odd.
But I liked the Milano wines and Columbia Crest wines.

There are some really great areas here in FR. I'm sure you've lurked them. I lurked a long time, also. These people in here are so intelligent. I thought, "How will I ever be able to respond to their comments?" Every now and again, you're going to get nailed. Don't worry about it, everyone does. Even if you're right!
I screw in a lightbulb from left to right, but there would be argument on that . . .

No way, thats nuts. It costs them probably 7 cents for the entire cup and they charge $7 !! Screwbucks!
To: RedBloodedAmerican
Wasn't it Starbucks in New York who were charging for water for the rescue workers on 9/11? I may be getting that mixed up, but I think it was Starbucks.

"The smell of the armpits, the roar of the crowd."
Tipper has gained another 2938790 pounds and STILL needs a fashion consultant. That suit is dreadful on her....
To: 3catsanadog
Maybe he has placed leaky waterbags under his armpits to make him appear "manly." Heaven help us.
