GORE LIES YET AGAIN
Fiedor Report On the News #270 ^ | 4-28-02 | Doug Fiedor

Posted on 04/27/2002 11:06:00 AM PDT by forest

The master of environmental babble was at it again last week. Yup, Al Gore was out committing Goreisms yet once more. And, as always, he spouted a whole lot of propaganda based on just a slim hair of truth.

For instance, Gore starts out saying that, "here in the United States, patriotism doesn't mean keeping quiet. It means speaking out and standing up for a stronger, more secure nation."

Anyone following the Clinton-Gore administration those eight long years knows what kind of baloney that is. Not only did both Clinton and Gore ask for and receive illegal campaign funds from many communist Chinese related sources, they took money from American industries and then approved the transfer of military related products to China that directly threaten the security of the American people today. That's why, today, China has nukes targeting our major cities. Clinton and Gore allowed the transfer of the technology to China necessary for China to build ICBMs.

One would think that "standing up for a stronger, more secure nation" would also include protecting our borders against the massive onslaught of illegal aliens and tons of illegal drugs. But, the Clinton-Gore administration did absolutely nothing about that. Even when the FBI and CIA warned the administration that all sorts of despicable characters -- terrorist types -- were taking up residence here, the Clinton-Gore team didn't care. Instead of taking action, they actually defunded some of the programs that were to apprehend known terrorists.

What the Clinton-Gore administration did do was to work to insure that illegal aliens could receive taxpayer funded medical care and education. Today, many aliens find it a lot cheaper to attend universities than citizens. Again, subsidized by the American taxpayer.

Out here in fly-over country, we do not call that building a "stronger, more secure nation." Most of us would label that negligence -- and cheating the taxpayer.

Remember the arsenic scare of a while back? That was proven a major fallacy. But, Gore is at it again: "Instead of ensuring that our water is clean to drink, they tried to increase the amount of arsenic in our water."

There is no information proving that the little arsenic we receive is anything but good for us. There were only a couple small water supplies in the nation that had arsenic levels that were high enough to warrant watching and they were quickly handled.

Instead, through pseudo-science and feel-good mismanagement programs, Gore himself helped to pollute the groundwater in thousands of areas throughout the country. Also, Gore was responsible for getting Carol Browner the position as honcho of the EPA. Together, they inflicted on us a fuel additive called methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).

Because of the uninformed like Gore, the federal Clean Air Act requires that regions that don't meet their so called "air quality standards" must use either MTBE or ethanol to reduce vehicle pollution.

They were warned many times, but did not listen. MTBE acts like a type of solvent. It travels faster in the ground and groundwater than gas and takes a lot longer to break down. Along the way, it picks up all sorts of impurities and brings them along -- right into our water supplies. Consequently, millions of folks around the country now have water that tastes like paint thinner. Worse, MTBE is also a carcinogen.

That's what happens when we allow people with zero common sense to make law.

Gore and Browner would not listen to the science of the matter. They wrongly forced MTBE on the American people. Others are listening, though. Two weeks ago, a San Francisco jury found that gasoline with the additive MTBE is a "defective product" and that two major oil companies were aware of the chemical's dangers but withheld the information when they put it on the market.

A "very significant" decision, said Scott Summy, an attorney in the Dallas firm of Baron and Budd, which has MTBE cases in California, New York, Florida and Illinois. "The jury was presented with ample evidence that these companies had early knowledge that predicted these problems. They failed to disclose the information they had and also promoted the additive in gasoline despite the fact that it had inherent problems."

Richard Drury, a lawyer with Communities for a Better Environment, agreed. "It was proven that the companies' own scientists for almost a decade were saying, 'Don't put MTBE on the market, or you're going to create a big environmental disaster.' The companies put it out anyway. It wasn't an innocent mistake."

The problem should be dropped right back in the lap of Al Gore and Carol Browner. Unfortunately, they had immunity and so also had a free pass to go forth and harm as many people as they wish in the name of feel-good environmentalism. And so they did.

Now, the estimate is that the punitive damages for MTBE contamination could reach billions nationwide. Of course, the oil companies will just pass that along in the price of our fuel.

Meanwhile, Al Gore is still out talking about clean water. The big shame of it all is that he can still find people stupid enough to listen to him.

It's a shame none of this information will ever be brought up by the mainstream press. As important as it is, people will never hear it. The CFR bill will make sure of it 60 days before the election, too!

History will cast a dark shadow on Clinton and Gore.

Unchecked liberalism soon morphs into totalitarianism, because a small, elite, minority tries to impose what they think is best for the masses.

Newt Gingrich and the Republican freshmen of 1995 saved the nation and should always be remembered as heroes.

I'm sorry, but I could careless if the man lies again and again. He's not President. He can lie to the stupid chickens on his farm or to any liberal bad experimentation into breeding offspring..I could care less!!

However, I do think we should be allowed to play a song warning before we open up to read another story about him: I suggest "YOU"VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING" by Judas Priest. Everytime I see Gore, I just keep thinking about how he tried to steal the election and I was so happy that he lost!

Gore will go down in history as a the candidate who lost! If he had done the right thing and denounced his "boss" in front of the world, he could have gone down in history as an admirable character. He emerges by saying this or that. He changes from this color to that. He coins a phrase and runs it into the ground...making sure he can work it in the conversation. Then he emerges with a beard. Then he gains a lot of weight. Then he shaves off the beard. Then his wife "thinks" about running for office. My God...how much humiliation are you willing to put yourself and your family through??? What's wrong with him anyway?????

If Gore actually believes what he is saying, and if the voters believe him .....then we're all in a heap of trouble.

The only way I can survive listening to a Democrat speak is that I tell myself they know they are lying. With Gore it's hard to say for sure, I'm afraid.

This point can never be overemphasized!! The Left says we need to get over an immoral lowlife defiling the White House, but it's soooo much more I'm unable to "get over" vis a vis Clinton/Gore. Clinton's a traitor to his Country who has weakened our National Security in order to keep his own sorry buttocks in Power fer another 4 years...I ain't never gettin' over that!!

It's high time the RightWing power within the GOP starts "checkin'" liberalism then!! We've been on the defensive too long and it's time to argue OUR Issues on OUR terms, then let the voting populace see the huge chasm dividing the parties...and insodoing, Dubyuh's gonna shine!!

Al Gore lies as effortlessly as Dimaggio drifted after a fly ball, Clemente threw out a runner at the plate, Ryan sawed of a bat at the handle, Ruth downed 20 frankfurters (with 20 beers), Wills stole a base, Ozzie Smith turned the double play, Lasorda hurled obscenities, and Scully called (and still calls) a game.

Except that anyone who thinks drifting after a fly ball, throwing a runner out at home, sawing off a bat handle, stealing bases, turning a double play, or calling a baseball game on radio is effortless has never tried it. On the other hand, downing 20 frankfurters with 20 beers isn't "effortless," it's insanity; there have been about a half dozen base stealers better and harder-working at it than Maury Wills, Bill Mazeroski often as not made Ozzie Smith look like he was in hard labour for turning the double play (imagine if those two had played second and short together!); Tommy Lasorda wasn't "effortless" in hurling obscenities, he worked extremely hard at mastering his craft (*snickering*); and, there is Vin Scully and, then, there are mere announcers.

Let's just say, then, that Al Gore works very hard at the effortless lie, even if he did refine his craft at the feet of the master for eight years...

No doubt, but Wills made it look easy.

Actually, Lou Brock made it look even easier. Give Maury Wills this much: He certainly made stealing a base while taking off from a swamp look damn easy! The San Francisco Giants thought they'd found a way to slow Wills down after he broke the single-season stolen base record: when their grounds crew wetted down the infield dirt, they'd downright soak the dirt around first base, thinking it might keep Wills from the fast break. They gave it up when first basemen discovered they had even more trouble with Mud Lake than baserunners did.

Hate to disillusion people, but grounds crews have been known to do little things to help the homeboys. The Shibe Park grounds crew was especially notorious for a little bit of landscaping they laid down on Richie Ashburn's behalf - they sculpted the third base line into a kind of curved retaining wall, the better to enhance Ashburn's bunts: he was known as one of the best bunters in the National League, and they figured balls which might roll foul after a short ride up the line would now stay fair once they rolled along Ashburn's Ridge, the idea being that fielders waiting for the roll foul would be too late to throw the swift Ashburn out once they realised it wasn't going to go foul. It's said Ashburn himself couldn't figure out how he was having so many slow rolling bunts on the line staying fair...until someone discovered the peculiar landscaping and the Phillies' crew was ordered to knock it flat.

There is a lesson to be learned from the story of the Rev. Rob Schenck. And from the story of Patricia Mendoza. And from the story of William J. Kelly. It is that criticizing the President of the United States can be hazardous to your freedom. An improper word at a Christmas Eve service can get you detained by the Secret Service. Declining to shake Mr. Clinton's hand at an impromptu stop can prompt an interrogation of your "sexual orientation," and court charges. And an inappropriate question at a town meeting can win you twenty-seven hours in police custody, shackled in handcuffs and leg irons.... "

Isn't it amazing that the same level of arsenic in water we had for 8 years under Clinton/Gore...all of a sudden became poisonous and a great cause for concern as soon as Bush entered the White House. Incredible.

What amazes me is how even after he is proven to be lying...he still keeps parroting the same old lies anyway....as if he is totally void of shame or conscience.

This man is so phoney and such a hypocrite he literally makes me ill.

So true, your last comment. Gore can still find people stupid and UNINFORMED enough to listen to him. The media certainly won't tell them that the arsenic scare was a hoax (LIE) and trust me, average Joe democrat out there didn't hear that it wasn't true unless Oprah said it, and we know that didn't happen!

What is so disgusting about all of this, is that Gore is doing the exact stump speeches he did in 2000! The RAts don't have another message so they just use the scare tactics that have always seemed to work for them lies though they are!

I want you all to think of what this nation would be like today if the "Miracle" of Newt had not happened in '94. Now imagine that after 8 years of Beelzabubba and that Razor Backed Hog he married, we get lil' Albert with a RAT congress. I'll tell you what I can see....barbed wire and talking to y'all over burning barrels in the middle of the "compound" (quietly of course, as not to arouse the suspicion of the guards) while an endless liteny of speeches of RATS played on a huge screen in the middle of the "compound". Ocassionally one of us would "disappear" and when the rest would inquire as to his/her whereabouts we would be told that he/she had been "transferred" to a different "camp" (and the sounds you heard last night were firecrackers, NOT gunfire).

I guess I see RED DAWN!!! The socialist agenda is getting impatient, and they are getting mean. If we ever get RATS in control again, they are going to make sure that they never lose power again, and there won't be a damned thing The People will be able to do about it, but FIGHT! There would be one thing they would HAVE TO DO first and foremost.....Goodbye Second Amendment! I do believe that would start the war!

Think I need a tin foil hat? Look around and listen to them and tell me this hasn't crossed YOUR mind!
