a climate of hate and even calls for violence against politicians who question political correctness, Riots in France, assassination in the Netherlands, tolerance has brought us Utopia.

Don't worry, it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. You are aware of the problem that comes with having more than %10 of your population being Muslim? The instructions the faith gives its followers concerning how to behave and what to do in unbelieving countries? Oh yes, we are in for some very interesting times ahead.
To: StriperSniper
Quite so, another victory for the tolerant left.

Re #3
In a way, belonging to an elite class is a package deal. One has to swallow the whole package of agendas. If one those who are supposed to belong to this group, like gays, broke ranks and make an issue out of some of items in the package, he runs the risk of being labeled as a traitor, which is worse than being a consistent enemy. The left has been piggy-bagging new controversial issues on top of established issues and push them as a package. If one challenge the new controversial one, he is as bad as challenging the old established items in the package, which by that time are hallowed truth. And demonization campaign starts. Fortuyn was undermining such piggy-bagging and his advance could set back their whole cause. At least somebody did think so.

When it gets bad enough, they will be far easier to deal with than the leftists. That is I worry about the left more. They take on any cause that works to their ends, the destruction of freedom and subjugation of the masses under their "benevolent watch".

I can see why you are more worried about the extreme Left. I myself am more worried about the Muslim invasion. If nothing else there is no shortage of things to worry about! Europe and America are in for some very interesting times ahead.

It amazes me how these professional hit men get away with murder, and it's the disgruntled lone gunmen that take the fall.

Good analysis.

Frank Vanhecke, leader of Belgium's extreme-Right Vlaams Blok party, said he was "shocked but not surprised" by the attack. "Throughout Europe we have faced a climate of hate and even calls for violence against politicians who question political correctness, just like Mr Fortuyn had done."Don't believe it will not happen here. It will.

Re #15
I have to agree. In this case, What is happening in Europe will happen here in time-delay. I am not sure it is a couple of years down the road or 5 years down the road. But it will not take a decade as many seem to think.

I await a profile of the assailant with great interest. If he is a leftie the Dutch Government will never tell.

Right before a major election, when he is expected to make big gains? That's rather too much of a coincidence to be fobbed off as "an angry ex-lover"; who would have to come out of nowhere. Whereas angry leftists who want to shoot people are rather common.

Police said last night that a 33-year-old white Dutchman had been arrested. His house was being searched but there was no indication of a motive.if the press knows where he lived, they know who he is...the lack of info on the suspect grows more suspicious by the minute...

Actually, the "far-Right Dutch gay guy" had a little problem with the fact that Islamists have a tendency to exterminate gay people; and are in the progress of hijacking his country. He called Islam a "stupid" and "dangerous" religion - and got whacked!
Welcome to the Middle East.
My little prediction is that EU will be Balkanized, within a decade or two. Hope I am wrong. More importantly, hope we can learn from their mistakes, and avoid it ourselves.
Check out www.memri.org for Islamic policies towards gays.
