This is so bizarre I really wonder if it's true. Have at it :)

Austin is the home of Hormel Foods Corporation Does "meat packer" James Hormel still live in Austin? How does he feel about this?

There was a report here about California being forced to change the names of teams like braves, warriors etc. I mentioned it was only time that they went after team names like the bengals, and the tigers and the lions etc. <
I thought i was joking but from packers to the bears is not too far a step.

I'm so pleased that the libs are so impotent that this is all they are left to deal with these days.

Pickers,'' which would promote a healthier, plant-based diet." Apart from the migrant workers doing the picking!

It's true - PETA made the same suggestion/demand a year or so ago with the Green Bay Packers and were (unsurprisingly) turned down.
Perhaps PETA needs a nickname - how about "grandstanding morons?" I do believe that would also work for our Senator Wellstone....

First off is this for real??
Mozie ....look out PETA will demand they rename the Green Bay "Packers" next...
Green Bay Pickers.....sounds kind of cute!

My law partner who liberal enough that he considers NPR to be a little bit too conservative (his statement), is dissecting sharks this afternoon with is 13 year old son. He expressed some regret that he had not called PETA so that they could demonstrate outside the school to make it more interesting. Did I mention that he's very strange. I have hope for him.

If they give in, I will personally call them the "Fudge Packers"

I would love to be present when these nuts show up in Green Bay!

Packer is one who packs heat, picker is one with his finger up his nose.

The group suggests a better name would be ``Pickers,''Here is their new mascot

I've never really liked the name "Packers" for sports teams, but not because of references to the slaughter house.

To: Colonel_Flagg
They'll be able to keep the name. All they need is a more politically correct connotation. No change in logo is needed. They will have to change the school colors to hot pink and lavender, though.

Now why are they only picking on the high school? Why not Green Bay? I guess PETA thinks it can bully a high school around.
