"Jew" is an accepted term found in any dictionary. "Hebes" and "Palis" are contractions, that I strongly suspect both groups, to which they refer, would find derogatory. Is it possible you are being genuine in your protestations? What is not clear from the article is whether any proper sewage disposal was left in place during the siege. I noticed that "Two Palestinian men were killed by gunfire in the church compound last month and another was later wounded". I wonder if any of them were perhaps attempting to relieve himself outside. I also wonder what any structure would look like, after dozens of people were confined there, for more than a month with amenities cut-off perceiving an imminent armed assault?

I wonder if palestinians (or other reasonable individuals) would equate being called Palis, with those of Hebrew heritage being called Hebes? I suspect that your your editorializing serves little to further your position or cause.

The original Reuters article was titled Stench Fills Jesus' Birthplace After Siege so it should have been posted with that heading. But as far as using the word "Palis" I agree that that is incorrect since there are no "palestinians" in the first place. Just Egyptians, Arabs, Syrians, Jordanians, etc.

There don't seem to be such a people as "palestinians". Even the murderous homicide bomb making puppet master Arafat is Egyptian. But anyone can prove me wrong by quoting any "palestinian philosophers". Just do so in their native "palestinian" language.
