WASHINGTON — Peter Kirsanow, the U.S. Civil Rights Commission's newest member, enjoyed a brief moment of welcome from his chief opponent on the panel before Friday's meeting returned to the usual tensions between its Democratic and Republican members.
"Let us first welcome Mr. Kirsanow – welcome," Chairwoman Mary Francis Berry said Friday to the commissioner whom she has vigilantly claimed has no right to be there. He replaces one of Berry's supporters, Democratic appointee Victoria Wilson, whose term on the commission expired last year, according to a critical federal appeals ruling May 10.

The 'Hole will violate precedent. He has no honor. Let us not be mistaken about the man. Bush should fire Berry, but he wont. IMO, the "new tone" is a solo - the 'rats will screw him at any chance.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Daschle refused to abide by the courtesy. IMHO, Mary Francis Berry has a Messiah complex. She appears to believe that this commission is her personal God-given purpose in life, that she is omniscient and omnnipotent as regards the commission. (I wonder why they bother to have other people on the commission with her running it.) She needs to be out of there.

But guess what? On the video of yesterday's meeting of the commission, Victoria Wilson was still seated and participating in the session.

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering how this controversy was unfolding.
I'd imagine Berry is discombobulated. Tyrants hate to have their control diminished in any way.
I wouldn't want to be her dog right now (I wouldn't even want to be her neighbor's dog).

I would, I'd go cr^p in her yard.
"I commend Mr. Kirsanow for the patience and dignity with which he has comported himself in the face of the legal histrionics that have greeted his appointment,"
His behavior is impressive. He's acting like a gentleman, all right.

I love it when they show Victoria Wilson because she looks exactly like I want all female liberals to look like. It's kinda' like nature's own warning. Let the public begin to learn what inbred liberals look like...starting with the easy-to-identify ones. (It gets tougher when we get up to Markie Post)

Yes, like a smug Prima-donna. Maybe someone could post a pic.

After observing Berry's behavior, she is a perfect example of the tyranical psychotic animals that run country's like Zimbabwe. They have no regard whatsoever for real government. They are just power drunk thugs.

Hehheh, good one...

Huh?? Are you KIDDING me? Why is she still there?
If you tell me she's still pulling a salary, I'm going to blow a blood vessel. I mean it.

And he will deserve it. nice guys finish last. He will finish his first and maybe only term without even getting his nominees to a hearing let alone a vote. Remove 9/11 from the picture and the question is, George who? Maybe he is too preoccupied being President of Mexico to get anything accomplished. He has been a big disappointment.

I can't say regarding the financials, but have you ever heard of anybody feeding at the public cash trough giving it up? I would say she won't go away until she sees the cash(paying her to stay at home in some sort of consulting crap).

Are you serious? Bush is "heaping coals of kindness on their heads" and the Dems. appear petty and cruel by comparison. Internationally, people are questioning the left in country after country as someone finally had the guts to stand up to the thugs, both in the UN, EU and militant Muslims. Eyes are opening around the world and the left is supporting the bad guys, the tyrants, oppressors and human rights abusers. The left, in their crowing from Universities, papers and courthouses stands naked and with the enemy before every human of conscience .
Peter Kirsanow, President Bush's choice, is a gentleman....and he had many supporters at the meeting. Ms. Berry is simply confirming what we all knew about her in Florida after election 2000...she's a deluded, racist nut. Give her more rope...
