Mrs. Levy in an interview on CNN said the email from Chandra on May 1 was very generic and non-specific.

Still doesn't explain what happened to the bracelet Condit gave her. It was a fact established by two separate witnesses that he bought bracelets for Anne Marie and Chandra.

She may have had it on and it was removed from her body or it was in the apartment and was taken when the apartment was cleaned out, by who-ever it was. Condit or her killer or killers.

It has been verified by police or the Levy's detectives that her apartment was wiped clean of fingerprints, but they could not prove someone enter it as there was no forced entry.

But I did not know that the police actually found her diary... this timeline mentions it, but I have never heard of that before. I never knew one exsisted. Also when did and why did Abbe Lowell stop being Condit's Lawyer? Does anyone know why, could Condit not pay his attorney bill with Lowell?

I bet the farm that Condit didn't know she kept a diary either. That diary would sure be interesting reading right now.

I believe that it was her on the internet until 12:30pm or 1pm on May 1st, 2001... Nobody else but her, I think she was killed anytime after 1pm on May 1st, 2001.

I do believe that someone entered her apartment after 1pm on May 1, 2001 to search for things that would link Condit to her, like his finger prints, watch, bracelet, love notes, pictures, etc...Nothing linking her to Condit was found in her apartmnet which is very odd, not even a fingerprint... all women in her situation would have kept some sort of memento of him, if it was only a small unsigned love note. It just does not add up... But I never ever heard about a diary being found, this timeline here is the first time I have ever heard of it. Was the diary found at the apartment? or was it at her mom's?

Is there a story that was published about the diary? This is "new" news to me and I was following this case very close up until 9/11/01, after that I was more involved and upset with the 9/11 events. Now I am back to following the Levy story again.

Thanks for posting that link. This article also says the email to her parents was "forwarded". Would that mean it was written earlier, or was it sent from another computer?

they entered the apartment and wiped it clean and removed what they could find linking Condit to her

I missed this bit of news, somewhere-- it's possible Condit discarded the watch one place, and the watchbox another. How strange that would look, if he discarded both, together. Lucky for him, he was seen with the box. The perps had plenty of time to do it their way.

That uncooperative apt. manager is puzzling me-- he could let the Levys in, but he wouldn't. Why not? Rules get broken-- what's wrong with a little peak, when the parents have come so far to find their missing daughter? Why wouldn't he make sure she wasn't dropped-dead on the floor, or sick? Does anyone suspect the apt.manager is involved? In movies, the Supr. is the perp. Did he just wait it out, until Police made their move?

I don't know about the rest you are asking about but I will do some searching and see if I can find the public comments that were made about her apartment being overly clean and free of fingerprints. It was a detail that I read or heard on Larry King Live or someplace. I found it interesting... but it is so easy to gain access to an apartment if you have a master key set, these can be obtained easily. Each lock company makes a master key to fit each style of lock mechanism they make, but that is not to say that the killer didn't take her key aftyer killing her or even Condit may have had a key to her apartment without anyone knowing about it.

July 7, 2001: Condit met with police for the third time. Condit admitted his intimate relationship with Levy.

July 9, 2001: Condit's new lawyer, Abbe Lowell, announced that Condit would agree to having the police search his apartment and would give them access to his telephone and cell phone records, as well as provide a DNA sample and consider taking a polygraph.

July 10, 2001: Chief Ramsey announced that the police would search Condit's apartment, obtain a DNA sample, and administer a polygraph exam to Condit.

Condit was seen suspiciously placing something in a trashcan in Alexandria, VA. A report was made to the police. The investigation found a watchbox for a Tag Hauer watch they traced back to Joleen Argentini-McKay. The watchcase was packed inside a Big Mac container. Condit's senior staffer Mike Dayton drove the car. Police later confirmed with Bureau of Prisons co-workers that Chandra wore a man's Tag Hauer watch.

Beginning about 11:15 p.m., investigators searched Condit's apartment.

July 11, 2001: At about 3 a.m., police completed the search of Condit's apartment

Let's rethink the watch; the police must have told Condit on the 7th during that interview that they wanted to search his apartment, one way or the other, with or without a subpoena; Lowell, being the swify that he is, decided to "get out in front of the parade" and make an announcement that HE could spin into "Condit is cooperating," and more than likely the police let him get away with it without too much fuss.

If he KNEW they were coming to investigate, why did he feel the need to get rid of that box? Why not dump it in the "burn bag" that every single congressman has.

He could not recall whether they had sex.

IMO, he should get the chair for that ONE statement alone. How dare he.

BTW, as I stated to you before, I am now interested in the early morning scream. AND the comforter by the door.

Yes, he did. The second one should probably say "admitted he last talked to her on this date." If you can even believe that.

BTW, when this first came out, there was some "discussion" about that very fact, Condit not calling the police sooner. The Levys called him on a Saturday, and he did not call the police until the following week, at least Tuesday, I believe.

I also believe I remember that the Levys had already called the police by the time HE called them, and that the word was out he wanted to talk to them.

Later on, it has been reported that during the first weeks, the police showed up at his door for an "informal chat" and he blew them off, saying he was TOO BUSY to see them right then.

I was thinking about the scream outside the apartment today; I had basically discounted it before, but if you factor that in, it WOULD account for that sweatshirt and those leotards on a otherwise warm day, wouldn't it?

In her call to Condit on the previous Saturday, her FIRST call to him, she said in a live TV appearance that when she mentioned to him that Chandra was missing that his FIRST reaction was to say, "Well, I will donate $10,000 to help find her." She and Dr. Levy was TOTALLY shocked, if I remember correctly.

It has been verified by police or the Levy's detectives that her apartment was wiped clean of fingerprints

Isn't that odd, since there were none in HIS aparment either, although there was the SEMEN of three different men!

I heard of the diary before; I cannot wait to hear what's in it.
