How about ring and keys taken, keys to get in and clean (for incriminating items), check computer for emails and look for watch. Watch not found so watch box dumped. Ring and Keys at bottom of Patomac.

I was a cab driver for over seven years. We could usually remember every fare for about two – three weeks. If something stood out it could be for as long as a couple months. This long? She could have left a great tip, done a striptease, and been knock-out beautiful, and no one would have a reliable memory of her.

I don't call it luck. I call it a real possibility that the tracks Condit was covering were different tracks than you think.

I'm not sure I'm following you here. Would you care to elaborate on the "different tracks"?

My sympathies ... puffy "ankees" are a pain! I don't get swelling, but I have an ottoman that fits under my desk here so I can fold my legs up on it when I'm sitting too long. (I'm sure the folks are soooooo interested in this -- LOL!!)

I'm glad they put out the picture of the ring -- as I wrote on yesterday's thread, you don't usually see gemstones on a signet ring, and I thought perhaps there may have been two. So now, the story first out is incorrect, the cops didn't find that ring when the remains were first discovered? Or hmmmm, are they saying that now, to throw off the perp, cause some kind of *activity* (like driving 10 miles to a strange garbage can with your aide ...)?

When Condit was spotted tossing that stuff last year and the cops searched, we were told they found that watch box in the Big Mac container, (maybe that's why MickeyD's went back to the paper wrappers, not really the ecology, hehehe), was that the ONLY suspicious, out-of-the-ordinary garbage in that can? Or maybe he and Mike made a couple of other garbage stops to separate what Condit wanted to toss, but those other stops were not observed ... I wonder.

I've been asking that question for a long time.

When Words Would Help, Only Silence [Gary Condit]

Here's a question I've been wondering about and have not seen it discussed anywhere.

Between the time Chandra's parents called Condit to tell him their daughter was missing and the time Condit called the police the next day, did Condit call Chandra's apt., or any of Chandra's friends, or go over to her apt. to see if she was there? If he did none of these then IMO that means he already knew her fate.

If this is true then his silence during this 24+ hour period SCREAMS "I'm guilty."

Ease your mind. I am not "taken in". My view of Ingmar is not colored by Geragos or Greta. It's by the nature location and timing of the crime, and statements made by Ingmar, his vitims, his arresting officer, and his judge, in the light of what knowlege I have gained about the patterns of behaviour of certain kinds of criminals.

I haven't abandoned Condit as someone with some 'splaining to do. If I could wish him guilty, I would. Nothing would give me more personal satisfaction.

However, I feel a disspassionate look at Chandra's murder includes both specifically Ingmar and the possibility of another killer of his ilk.

I really don't think it was any "man walking his dog" who spotted him dumping the watch box. May ahve been something else with that box, that they're not telling. Ol' Gar is being tailed big time! Wouldn't surprise me if his phone's tapped????Poor loveless Gar'! Bet he's climbing the walls!

Keys may be at the dump - keys were among the items fished out of the creek in the area where Chandra was found. (In APril, a group of Boy Scouts and other samaritans tramped right through the area currently marked in yellow tape. There is some worry the crime scene was compromised by the clean-up effort. Hiking boots, keys and a shirt were among the items pulled out by the scouts. All at the dump now, BTW.

Burl worked for Modesto City cops, right, not the Sherrif.

Chandras home on the outskirts was under jurisdiction of County Sheriff, not Modesto City cops.

So that is why the Sherrif went to DC.

Chandra as a teen still in high school worked at the Modesto City Police Department.

Did she meet Burl Condit, older brother of Gary there?

Did she and Burl get it on?

Did Burl introduce her to his brother Gary?

Did she ever meet or know about brother Daryl?

I still say Gary messed with NCIC re:Daryls criminal history.

I kind of think that Chandra knew the whole Condit passel of creeps.

Cadee and Chad form Sacremento and Governor Gray Davis Office.

Modesto and Cerses(sp) are not that huge.

What does it mean if Chandra knew all or any of them before DC?

I personally think that Cop brother Burl and criminal brother Daryl advised and/or helped brother Gary do the deed!

I'm more suspicious of the timing of his engagement with the stuff floated by his '96 dem opponent. The story about this Sex Club, the info that may be coming out ... go check this thread:

CHANDRA KILLING NOT A RANDOM ATTACK: D.C. DETECTIVES

and read posts 559, 561, and 563. As I said, I'm not letting Kasich off the hook, I just want the context correct.

Why would someone think it unusual to dump garbage in a dumpster? Was there something more to the story that I'm not remembering?

As I remember it, the man who saw Condit discarding the trash recognized him and thought it odd that he was dumping trash so far from home. It was also the early evening hours of the same night that Condit's apartment was to be searched by the police.

I think this is correct.

But why didn't she take her cell phone?

It would be very unusual and even highly unlikely that your cell phone would be left behind.

If you page someone 24 times in 48 hours you usually keep your phone close in case they call you back... unless maybe you are going to meet them...
