I was reviewing the cover of the Indictment story on Gary Condit this week that the U.S. Attorney will not comment upon at this time.
The edition has what looks like a man's gold watch that is obviously to big for Chandra bunched way up on her arm.
So is this confirmation that she had the watch in her possession and that Condit is guilty of obstruction by going to Virgina to toss the watch box?
I know Registered did a blow up of a photo not too long ago, maybe we can contrast and compare it..

How closely can we look at this thing using the skills at our disposa lhere?

For sufficient resolution, someone may need to scan the paper edition's cover. I'm pinging Registered for you -- he'd know.

Didn't we establish a while back that the watch color was gold?

And a ballcap pulled over your eyes..

It ain't happening. Hehehe.

I'm thinking about getting a subscription. Do they come in plain brown wrappers? Cripes, the tabloids are outshining the stars. Or the Star is outshining the other stars???

Oops, I guess I mean the National Enquirer. The Star has an article on Condit, too.

A paper bag over the head and a note indicating "The unknown FREEPER" will suffice registered.

Hiya, Jaidyn! ;-D

snicker. :O)
To: Jaidyn
I looked in the Star and didn't see anything, was it the Globe?
To: codebreaker
Are you talking about the photo of Chandra with the bracelet that appears on the cover and p. 34 of the Jun. 18, 2002 National Enquirer? I don't see a watch on Chandra in that picture?
To: Registered
Oh, come on Registered....you don't seem to be embarrassed about your mullet haircut, your ship tattoo on your chest, the old truck on blocks on your front lawn, and going to a Dukes of Hazzard marathon at the local theatre....besides, why do you have to buy The National Enquirer when you have a lifetime subscription already! LOL!!!

To: sonserae
LOL! Soon he will be buying the Globe, Sun, and Weekly World News once you start with one- you can never go back..
To: Jaidyn
I'm thinking about getting a subscription. Do they come in plain brown wrappers? Better ask Registered on that one. That is a life experience I haven't had (and don't intend to have).

What's circled on the photo is the gold bracelet. The article talks about it. The photo was taken at her birthday party two weeks before her disappearance.
To: Clovis_Skeptic
Sometimes you can get the jpg while it loads if you have a slow moving computer on the Enquirer website.
Maybe then we can blow it up after that..
To: aristeides
It looks too big to be a bracelet, and it has a face where a watch should be-is it a locket?
To: codebreaker
I don't see any face, and in my copy it's very clearly a bracelet, as the story says.
Maybe there are different editions with different versions of the photo?
To: codebreaker
No time for jo-vi-ality here.Der's a lott'a bones to check out. Dem squirrels and udder forest creetures made a fine mess o' de crime seen.
We have detained several squirrels, a chipmunk by de name of Alvin and a Mista' Rocky Racoon.
Congressman Condit is NOT a suspect! Thank youse.

I guess I don't know. I didn't want to loiter about the magazine rack; people might stare!! I'm going back to the grocery so will get back and report. Not many shoppers will be there since it is a beautiful, sunny day, so I might buy one of each. I'd like to know how all of them get sold because I never saw a person buy one. Do they wait until the middle of the night to get their tabloid fix? Seriously, I don't care who knows what I buy. At least I'm reading something besides watching to boob tube.

The bracelet? According to the article, Condit gave the bracelet to Chandra on Valentine's Day.

I love the Dukes of Hazard. Especially when Luke uses the compound bow with explosive tipped arrows to foil the bad guys. Pure poetry.

There is something on the face of the watchbracelet clasp..it looks white to me-possibly engraved?

You should see the donut pics from the last thread.
To: sonserae
Dukes of Hazzard is playing at the movie theatre?
That is one high class town!
To: codebreaker
I will scan through all the mags and maybe even buy all of them. I will get back to you if I find out anything. Too bad DC isn't as persevering as the so-called rags. Up to and during the impeachement hearings, I got most of my accurate news from those cheapies. I even saved them for future reference!

I'll bet the piece of jewelry is engraved..
To: deadhead; codebreaker
I guess the Web version of the cover is not that clear, but I have the cover of the print edition in front of me, and it is clearly a bracelet.
To: aristeides
Even with the white stuff in the middle..I must have looked at it about 10 times!
To: codebreaker
Am I the only one who finds it extremely amusing that the Police Chief's name is RAMSEY? -grin-
