NEDERLAND, Colo. -- It was an honest mistake. What seemed to be a crazed man firing a gun at officers turned out to be a frustrated motorist banging on the hood of his broken-down truck.
Ronald Cobbley, 37, was on his way home around 3 p.m. Friday when his temperamental blue pickup stalled. Irritated, Cobbley jumped out and began to curse and beat his fists on the hood.

I think you answer that question yourself. Mr. Cobbley would almost have certainly been executed on the spot.
Crazy cops these days, running around trampling over people’s rights, taking “precautions” in situations like that. Exactly what is the problem with just shrugging your shoulders and letting sleeping dogs lie when there’s a person acting irrationally and unexplained noises???
I long for the day that we can disband all police forces in this country and allow people to be on their honor to follow laws. In fact, why bother to have laws at all. I’m armed, I can protect my family and possessions, for those who can’t too bad!
Disband police forces before another innocent person might be inconvenienced!
