So what do all of you think of FELON'S Having to be implanted, before being paroled? and or tracking bracelet. Especially Violent & Sex Crime Offenders.I think anyone considering implants of any type should read or reread Orwell's "1984."
implants for felons might be OK if our justice system was perfect and mistakes were never, ever made. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I don't see that happening anytime soon. Oh, I agree with you completely. I would not want one...and would "NO WAY" give one to my child. Or have one put in.
Guess, it is time to go to the new page ...day 24. :(

If I had that many kids running around and lived in a pricey home, I'd try to find out SOMETHING through back channels; you know, the grapevine. My main suggestion is that girls need to have baseball bats in their rooms - then they'd have a chance to come out alive, and I agree that having a dog is a great deterrent.
Whomever did this saw an opportunity for foul play with a family who had no street smarts due to their surroundings.
Taken in context, my opinion was correct and for the record, I do not have a pricey home nor am I that trusting of strangers. In Florida, the elderly are a prime target of so called contractors who demand up front cash for work they never do. Bad guys prey on the vulnerable and the trusting; it's like when they case a bank before a robbery; where are the vulnerabilities and what is the objective?

Good point, that no amount of technology will make up for luasy parenting. But when something horrible happens to good parents, these chips could be the difference between life and death for a child.

In principle I agree with you, but in practice, unfortunately, a cottage industry of chip removal would quickly develop in the underworld.

I don't see anything wrong with them as long as the data is maintained by the private companies who sell them, and the families, rather than by the government. The first time we have a child kidnapped who doesn't have a chip, but whose family's dog has one, we'll start thinking about this differently.
