Judge rules on Routier evidence

A Dallas judge says he does not have jurisdiction to decide whether to turn over evidence to Darlie Routier's attorneys.
Judge Robert Francis ruled Monday on a request last week from the death row inmate's defense team.

Routier's attorneys want access to a knife, carpet and other pieces of evidence presented at her 1997 trial. They say new tests will clear her in the 1996 stabbing deaths of two of her young sons.
They say they needed the evidence before filing her writ later this week. That's part of the appeals process in which a defendant can present new evidence challenging his or her guilt.
Darlie Routier and her relatives have maintained her innocence since the murders in the family's upscale Rowlett home six years ago.
You know, even though they sickened me with their defense of her as being "ill," at least Andrea Yates' family didn't stoop to swearing to her innocence.
I might just change my mind. I'm inclined to say "throw her husband and other relatives in the klink for 20 years or so as accessories to murder."
This just disgusts me so much I can't stand it.
